Hey Roger,
That must be it. I am able to login at home. I know there was a computer upgrade/meltdown with the server. I heard about some new anti-virus software. I'll follow up in the morning.

Hey, all great ideas. Never could get the "c" key to work, but the "n" key really did the trick. My favorite fix was to edit using smart dimension and the tool bar.
Thanks again,
Barry Baker
I was experiencing problems last week with this. There is a previous post where I was given the username mastercam with a password of swiss. That worked fine for a week. Now I am unable to access again. Has the protocal changed? I have never been able to access by simply clicking the link at the top of the page? I could use some help here, as I would like to upload a file for a little help?

When a dimension defines a small space, a distance of an 1/8" would be an example. The dimension text is forced to be between the arrow heads. The length of that text exceeds the distance being dimensioned. I have been through the settings and cannot find the switch to allow me to edit the text position. I would like to click and drag the text to a new position. How about some help??

We have a new Hurco here. It integrates seamlessly with MasterCam. Have only been using the generic post, but runs everytime. I really like the conversational side for relieving bottlenecks in programming. A tool maker with little or no CNC background will be running in a day or two.
As for the Haas. We have hed two in the past. Both were used for light duty tool room type work. Replaced the spindle twice in one and once in the other. I was not impressed with the machines.

File Name: Big Plate Next Cut.mcx
I use surface rough / parallel to machine that chamfer on this plate. I want the cycle to walk into the cut. As it is now, The cutting starts at the bevel and walks away from it. I can change cutting direction to achieve my desired result, but then am conventional milling. I want to climb cut, and walk into the surface. How about a hand here guys?

File is named BIG PLATE.MCX

The piece of stock in question lies on it's own layer. Toggle it off and on to get an idea of what to remove. I have tried surface rough/contour with some degree of success, but always get some anomolous activity. Also have tried surface rough/parallel with some success. I am new to this software and forum, but do have a background in Cad/Cam and machining. If someone has some spare time, I could sure use a walk through? I want to use a 3/4 dia n-mill for this project.

Check this hole out that breaks into the fillet of the lower Z level. I want to fill it in and create a single surface for machining. I have tried create - surface - extend, but enjoyed little success. How about walking me through it?

The file is named "Detail 5 Opposite".
Would have been nice to post a direct link. Maybe a little help there too?

I have tried my user name and password fron the emastercam site. I also have tried my e-mail address. How about some help? I need to upload a file to ask for some help?

Sweet, I was still trying to upload the file. I am running Vista, and am unable to drag my file to the FTP window. It just wants to open up or get saved on my computer. Guess it doesn't matter now that you solved my problem.
Thanks a bunch,
Barry
I have a plate in a three axis mill. It is thick - 2". It has a large bevel along one end. The chamfer is 1 x 1. I want to machine it without kicking the plate up on the angle. I have Surface Rough Parallel working, but it is machining up and down the bevel in the z axis. I would prefer it to machine across it and keep stepping down. I have tried all the surface patterns, but can't achieve what I want. I can get Flowline to work, but it takes forever. This is a simple bevel on the edge of a plate. How about some help?
