  1. quote: Seriously? Mastercam crashes several times a day when I am programming molds and CNC is worried about the clear colors functionality? Something is wrong here... Who likes the Unhandled Exception function? LOL @ Bullet Bob....How about this one?
  2. X-form has been working fine this way for a long time and the visual confirmation of what you just did is worth the extra click. However, I'm not impressed with the repaint issues. With a Quadro FX1800 card, I shouldn't have to constantly force a repaint with F3, mouse wheel flick, or tap my space pilot pro. That's something I spend way more time doing.
  3. It came with vga and dvi cables, not dp cables. The FX1800 card has 2 dp out and one dvi out. I know I could have gotten an adapter, but I figured the 2 dp cables would be a more stable choice for dual monitors.
  4. Edit: Ron - Make sure you have this in your inits for nextdc$ to have a value. getnextop$ : 1 #Build the next variable table If this doesn't help you out, you can also use the tool_typ$ variable in your tooltable logic.
  5. Ron - Have you tried using nextdc$ instead of drillcyc$? Output both values with ~ to see what they are as the tooltable is being output. I seem to remember having issue with drillcyc$ before and nextdc$ was the fix. HTH, Rob
  6. Use the ascii decimal equivalent. 34 Ex: "ID=", no_spc$, 34, no_spc$, "105", no_spc$, 34, e$ Here's a link to a discussion on that topic: Linky
  7. Jay, I just noticed that there's a pulldown tab labeled "stockrooms". That's where you can look at the available monitors. I had to get the display port cables from Dell. You would think the refurb site would sell them with the monitors.
  8. Jay - You can buy the monitors when you check out. Rob
  9. My T3500 came in today, and the benchmark was the first thing on my to do list. I spoke with Mike Debutts earlier this week about a Solidbox system, but I couldn't wait 3 weeks for a new box. My laptop finally bought the farm, and as you can see, I have a stack of new jobs and rev changes on my desk. There are 2 more stacks that go with that one. I found this on the Dell refurb site for $2500 with the monitors included. Dell Precision T3500 Xeon W3570 3.2Ghz 8M L3 6.4Gts 4 Gb ECC DDR3 @ 1333 Mhz 768 Mb Nvidia Quadro FX1800 300 Gb 10,000 rpm Velociraptor 16Mb Cache Windows 7 Professional 64 bit Dual P2210 22" Widescreen Monitors SpacePilot Pro So far I love it. I'll bump the memory to 12 Gigs and add a second Velociraptor in a couple months and benchmark it again. Meh new box: Respectable time for a $2500 setup.
  10. Great. You're the closest reseller to me. We'll talk about that seat in May.
  11. Oops - I didn't see this part: quote: I popped open my laptop which still has X2 and there doesn't "appear" to me to be a way to do it. The later versions seem to have addressed this. Ok, that explains alot. I'm not crazy. Thanks for the help anyways John. Btw - Are you with S4A?
  12. Great, maybe I'll see ya there. I need a Mill 1 seat for myself. I can't wait any longer for the owners to upgrade. If that ever happens. LOL I just can't understand why they're still using V7.
  13. Well, if it's working fine for you, then I'll just wait until I'm set up with X5. I'm hoping it'll be out by May (Eastec). :cough :cough Are you gonna be there this year?
  14. I don't see that option. I'm using v5.11.12 that came with X2.
  15. quote: The header and footer boxes are both un-checked in the config settings. Thanks John, but they are cleared.
  16. Does anyone know how to get rid of the header box when printing in Cimco? Eg:Date/Time/Pages?FilePath The header and footer boxes are both un-checked in the config settings. If I use raw printing the header goes away, but the font is way too big. TIA
  17. It's been a while since I used a Heidenhain control, but I remember the trick to use ISO G-code is to: Start and end the program with %100 G70 (prog #100 for example) and save the program as 100.I instead of 100.H I don't think it would be too complicated to modify the mplmaster for this machine. HTH Edit: I think that was for a TNC-151 with params set for ISO code.
  18. Ok, I found some more info. Now I know what the graduations are. Thanks for the replies. quote: The cylindrical square (Figure 15) is a simple tool for checking squareness of two planes or a plane and an edge. The direct reading cylindrical square indicates "out-of-squareness" of work in units of .0002" without transfer tools. A true cylinder is one with one end lapped perfectly square and the other end lapped to a fixed angular relation with the sides. With the angular end down and the base of the cylinder in contact with the part to be checked, the square is rotated until light is shut out. Reading up the topmost dotted curve in contact with the part to the number at the top of the square shows the out-of-squareness of the part in 2, 4, 6, to 12 ten-thousandths of an inch. The same reading may be obtained from two places on the circumference of the square, thus the instrument is self-checking. With the squared end down, it may be used as a master square with one of its perpendicular lines used for reference. Figure 15. Direct Reading Cylindrical square. 19. Gramby - I know how to use it as a square, but it also has graduations from 0 to 12 that coincide with ellipses on the side. The link above states that these are to measure from 0 to 12 degrees out of square, but I can't imagine how.
  20. I think it's more out of respect for the inspector. When he retired, he left his things behind, the cylinder square was his. If we start selling his stuff....
  21. Thanks for the reply. I was pretty sure it was a paperweight.
  22. Our inspector recently retired and we came across one of these: Does anyone know how to use it? Check if it is still in calibration? Is it obsolete? This is all I can find on the web: Linky
  23. Search your post for "flktbl". You should find something similar to: code: # -------------------------------------------------------------------------- # Define the gear selection code flktbl 1 3 #Lookup table definition - table no. - no. entries 40 0 #Low gear range 41 400 #Med gear range 42 2250 #Hi gear range # -------------------------------------------------------------------------- You can set your ranges here. Note that the 3 denotes 3 ranges. If you're only using 2 ranges, you'll need a 2 in place of the 3.
