  1. Thanks for the input , I am going to check out each software and go from there..
  2. Can anyone recommend a decent job tracking software that is afforable?? We need something that keeps track of quotes , jobs in house , invoice's and so on.. We looked at " Job Boss " but its a little to much for us right now.. Any help would be appreciated.. Thanks
  3. Does anyone know of any conflicts the MetaCut Utilities program may cause a HTML setup sheet not to work right ?? I have MasterCam installed on two comuters here , one with MCU installed and one without.. I use a html setup sheet just fine on the computer without MCU , but when I try using it on the computer with MCU , it will not post out the graphical display at all.. Both are configured the same except that one see's .NCI files as unkown file type and the other see's it as a Meta cut file.. Any help would be appreciated
  4. Talked with my dealer yesterday and he thinks maybe July.. He also told me version 10 will be completely different. Sounds like some MAJOR changes from what he was telling me.. Can't wait
  5. Just FYI , I have received some resumes from guys in the Chicago area. There are a lot of people that use Mastercam in this area as well. I do understand that most people here have more experience then what we are looking for , however there are a selected few who do not. In todays job market , we are offering a job that may not be top pay , but by no means is it a bad paying job. Just trying to help other MC users out. Even if there is just one person that may work out , thats better then not trying at all. Hopefully we can employ someone who is out of work and could really use a job before Christmas.
  6. We have an opening for a CNC mill operator with some programming experience in Mastercam . Should have minimum of 3 years experience in setting up machines and have some knowledge of 3D programming . 90% of are work is custom electrodes and hard milling for the plastic injection molding field , so a mold shop background is a plus but not necessary. Intrested applicants should send resume to [email protected] or fax to 630-543-0749 Modern Sales 421 S Irmen dr Addison , Il 60101
  7. Not to defend or start something , but I ran a Roeders high speed milling machine for over 5 years and they are by far the best I have ever run.. I have run Makinos , Bostomatic , Fadals , Haas and many others , and no one can come close to what the Roeders can do.. It has a 42,000 RPM spindle , 2,400 IPM rapid feed rates , Laser toolong probe , and pretty much every other bell and whistle you can think of.. They are even trying to put Micro welders on them.. You can easily rough graphite out at 900 to 1000 IPM and finish anywhere between two to five hundred acuratly.. In steel , you are limited to what the cutter can do , but with 42,000 RPMs it helps.. As far a it being PC based , I think in the 5 years I ran them , I may have locked up 2 or 3 times.. Its a very stable machine.. They are mainly placed in the midwest and by far are the top selling high speed milling machine.. If you ever get a chance to look at one , do so. I think most people would agree its a damn good machine.. Again , this is not to defend or start garbage ,I just noticed on the last thread, not many people heard of the machine..
  8. quote: Not sure if you're aware of this feature, but when you're in the Ops Manager, expand an operation, and right click on the NCI path. It will bring up a box that lets you change many many aspects of the toolpath. I am aware of the editor , I would just like to see it changed a little bit.. Have it work a little faster when working with some monster toolpaths.. I have a great system with plenty of memory , but some files take for ever to work with in the editor.. When that happens , I ususally backplot and save the geometry on a different level and change stuff from there.. Don't get me wrong , adding the editor was one of the better things they have added , but there is always room for improvement..
  9. Forgot one more thing.. A couple people mentioned before about being able to control a scallop cutter better.. That would be a huge plus..
  10. The two things I would love to see is a better tool path editor and better verification. I would like to zoom in on my parts after I verify them and be able to see very small detail in a timely manner.. Other then that ,I am pretty happy..
  11. Need some help.. I just built a new system and bought a ATI RADEON 9500pro video card. Problem is when in MasterCam , I can not window in on things.. When I try to zoom in or window pick entities , I can not see the window.. It will still pick entities and zoom in , you just can not see the window.. Does anyone else have this card or another RADEON card and know what to set to get rid of this problem ,if so could you please post them here.. Thanks RAM1
