  1. I'm a mill guy trying to understand how to program lathe. Is there a simple way to change any lathe program to post x values in radius or diameter. Thanks Chris
  2. I'm programming a manifold for vertical mill, it's complex so to keep the file size smaller i'm setting my wcs to what ever side I'm working on. The post sees this as I'm doing indexing work on a machine that is'nt setup for so I get a error when I post. There is nothing wrong with the code I just don't like gettin the error. Any ideas?????
  3. Nice answer, I wonder why the could make in look like c-axis drilling on a lathe.
  4. This may seem stupid and perhaps I'm doing something wrong but why doesn't Mastercam X4 show your part move in verify. Instead of changing the direction of the tool. Or am I doing something wrong. Thanks
  5. On the cut parameters page you can use peck with a rigid tap cycle.
  6. It's tied with the G28 line. I could remove it from that but I acutally want it to be there.
  7. Alright I found another problem with my Mplmaster post. It posts M45 caxis enable main for the first caxis tool path bot not for the resulting paths, whic would be horible except the post outputs a M46 caxis disable everytime it does a G28 home position. I'm thinking that I need to force pcaxis_m_on but I'm not sure how. Thanks in advance.
  8. Crazy, that was perfect the only problem I found was I had to change the drlgsel = 17 to 16 but other than that it worked perfectly. Thanks for the help and the great explaination.
  9. No I looking for what Ron was talking about because the Mori uses M329 S??? then G84 or G84.1 so reversing the spindle dosen't come into play. Like Ron stated I am surprised the the post doesn't do it for me. It looks like it should that's why I think I'm doing something wrong. Ron if you could expand on your first reply how do I tie the spindle direction to sg83_fd
  10. I guess I should add that I am trying to ridgid tap.
  11. I feel like a tard but here's my question I'm editing Mplmaster for a mori NL2500 when face tapping it ouputs G84 right tap correctly. But when I try left hand it still outputs G84 instead of the G84.1 that I put in under the (fstrsel sg70 gcodecc scclgcode 6 -1). I figure I'm just doing something wrong but I'm not sure what. Thanks
  12. Hey all, I am making a program that has a second probe program that check checks the finished part. So I'm looking for ideas of how you have done it. Currently I am making a new machine group making the program and then posting out the two programs and pasting them together and adding a G65 P whatever. Thanks
  13. Hey all, when I save and exit my program in X4 mu3 I have all my operations reduced down so that everything looks clean and easly selectable. The problem is when I open the program back up the operations are no longer reduced. Does any one else have this problem?
  14. That did the trick thanks for the help.
  15. Dude you rock thanks for the help I going to try it out right now.
  16. I like the idea of using temp but I can't seem to get it to show on the debugger. Any ideas????
  17. Thanks for the reply, unfortuntly it doesn't work. Is it because pfxout is x format and shftdrl$ is q format. As per your setup it outputs a x and a q with out doing the math function.
  18. This is what I have: pmisc1$ #Canned Misc #1 Cycle pdrlcommonb pbld, n$, "M05", e$ pbld, n$, "M19", e$ pbld, n$, *pfxout, e$ pdld, n$, *pfspindleout, e$ pbld, n$, *tosz_a, e$ pcan1, pbld, n$, *sgdrlref, *sgdrill, *pdrlxy, pfzout, pcout, pindexdrl, prdrlout, shftdrl$, [if dwell$, *dwell$], *feed, strcantext, e$ pcom_movea What I need to do is adjust the *pfxout by the amount stored in shftdrl and out put that value. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
  19. Hello all, I'm working on my post to help me bore a larger diameter behind a smaller diameter. So I want to use G76 but I want to shift to move thru the smaller bore and then shift back to the original position do the G76 and be done. Here is what I have thought oof to begin with. pmisc1$ #Canned Misc #1 Cycle pdrlcommonb pbld, n$, *pfxout, e$ pbld, n$, *tosz_a, e$ pbld, n$, *xabs, e$ pcan1, pbld, n$, *sgdrlref, *sgdrill, *pdrlxy, pfzout, pcout, pindexdrl, prdrlout, shftdrl$, [if dwell$, *dwell$], *feed, strcantext, e$ pcom_movea I want to move the first *pfxout by the amount of what is in shftdrl$. Any ideas on how????? Thanks
  20. I have used it quite a bit, we have alot of drilled and taped plates and FBM Drill works great for it. The only issue to pay attention to is the tool library if you have it setup correctly it can save a lot of time.
  21. There are no buttons on the threadmilling linking parameters page. I can type in values and it posts them correctly but I have no buttons to select geometry. Has any one else seen this?
  22. I am trying to write a custom drill cycle for probing. I have one cycle that measures x and one that measures y and so on. So for example I may want a q output to be the same for both measumments or I may only want it on one of the measurments. I have tried what Bryan mentioned with out the force *. I had read in another post that if I set the pvr_peck$1 to -9999 that I could use the statment that Bryan used. But as of yet I have been unable to change the pvr_ varibles.
  23. From one drill operation to the next the if the peck is the same I want it to post but if peck is 0.0 I don't want it to post. I'm curious what is the connoation of the : also what about ck9. Thanks for the input.
  24. I'm having problems trying to set my prv_peck1$ varible to -9999. I'm sure I just don't know where to properly put it. Any help would be appreciated.
  25. I'm not sure I understand what you mean by the long responce.
