I'm trying to dupe this toolpath in Mastercam X8, as in the photo.
The wall is at a 3 degree draft, so using a 3 DEG tapered ball nose EM to do the tapered wall and the radius.
The toolpath was made in Camworks and I'm lost how to do this in MC. I want to do Z steps as well as X steps. I have a photo of the CamWorks toolpath adjustment page for Pencil Mill,,,It allows you to adjust both Z and in this case, X
Thanks for any ideas.
thank you very much as always for this great add on
I remember that there was a file that explained all the tools and how to use them
Does this still exist for the X8 tools??
thanks
George
Thanks JAY
It is one of the files you can't send out you know how that is!
do you have any videos of setting a part for Swarf
I have access to your Eapp site? Checked your YouTube but did not find one
This would be for a edge trim.. With swarf I don't know what to pick and have a problem with tool angle crash
I'm new to 5 Axis and this one is bummer for me.
I have a part 12 inches long 4 wide and .200 thick, that is twisted like a potato chip.
I want to trim 3 of the 4 edges that all have a twist, using the side of an endmill to remove flash
I saw MC had Swarf Rail in a ad, cutting the edges of the same type of part, stating that is what it excelled at.
In X6 orX7 I can't find any info on it or how to use it ??
Is it the same as swarf?? It did seem to say something about the lower rail?
Any other 5 Axis toolpaths you can advise on (VF3 TR-160)
Thanks for any help
