Hello...
I am looking for some help. I need to find a 3D model of a Kuraki KBT - 11Z. Yes - its for Vericut. I have asked Kuraki but they do not reply. I did purchase this machine brand new, but in 2004. If anyone knows of a site that might have 3D models of machine tools available, it would be greatly appreciated or just some direction other than what I have done in the past...which was create them myself.
Thank you in advance.
Steve
I think if you try and extend or redraw your surf to a even number you can divide into, that may work. Right now your actual depth of cut for operation #2 is 1.4534". Try making your surface 1.46" long for your DOC. Then make your stepover distance 0.02". That'll be 73 even passes. Haven't proven it out, but try that.
I always go 1/2 the major diameter for my depth (using 90 deg. spot). Example: 1/2-13 tap, I go 0.25" deep with 90 Deg. spot I have never gotten any burrs, and the transition looks perfect to me. Haven't ever gotten any complaint from inspection. Opps...hope I didn't open a can of worms.....
try...
Toolpaths>Manual Entry (add text, make sure your post is set correctly. ei...text is text, and code is code, if its not, you may have to flip flop each choice) HTH
Analyze>Distance.
-try and grab lines and or midpoints. your cursor should grab onto those points.
or create a curve on all surfaces then analyze distances.
CREATE A POINT AT YOUR THREAD MILL LOCATION, USE THE POINT, DO NOT MASK ON THAT ARC AND TRY TO RE-POST/RE-RUN OPERATION. I THINK THAT MAY BE SOME OF YOUR PROBLEM....SORRY ABOUT TYPING IN CAPS
? for you.....Did you pick a point when selecting the operation. Or did you select the hole itself. Just curious....might be why operator had to adjust comp value.
In cut parameters, for id/od thread choice is major thread diameter blanked out(meaning you can't input value).
you might want to use...
Analyze>Dynamic
click on each surface, look at dimensions. If you do measure between points, make sure you are in 3D, and grab the appropiate geometry....hth.
There is two programmers here, and the other programmer is at Vericut training now, he went to the user exchange prior to going for training. He said it was very helpful. I guess if you learn one thing...its probably worth it.
