does anybody knows how to merge files using the postprocessor?

you can make a small draft surface up and your cut depth will go up

it seems everybody is getting this error,a way around it,is to offset the boundary out and use center for tool boundary.or else change the boundary into one spline,sometimes it works!

could'nt figure it out,bcos the isometric view looks funny including all other views!

thanks for all the enlightenment,i tried if mi1 > one, absinc = zero i entered if mi1=2,pbld,sg90,pwcs,"X0Y0" ,e ,and the program posted out managed to spit out my required work offsets at every toolchange after i had entered my work offsets in the tool parameter T/C plane of the work offsets checkbox as suggested by Mr.James Meyette

does anybody knows how to create offsets as "G54(or any of this offsets G55,G56,G57,G58)X0Y0"at the beginning of every tool change created through the postprocessor?i can only make it happen at the beginning of the programs,after that there are no more work offsets at the beginning of a toolchange,only "X0Y0".the codes used for the postprocessor was {if mi=2,pbld,pwcs,"X0Y0"}

but the trouble with this Mastercam warning is that you tend to click Yes than No in most cases!so why not Mastercam have 3 options of Yes,No or Cancel?

what i am saying is that accidental saving caused by the solids not regenerated overwriting to your file open "file".even autosave won't be able to help

is there a way to save a file that is accidently overwritten as in when file get another file and mastercam suddenly gives a warning "some solids are in need of regeneration.You may not be able to retrieve this file again.continue anyway?there are times when i accidently click "Yes".all of a sudden my file that i wish to open is overwritten by the old files!

the culprit could be windows xp,it would suddenly shutdown Mastercam after telling you to inform microsoft about your problems whereas Win2000 is stable

the trouble with check surfaces is that the tool will start jumping up and down around the workpiece and that's scary!can't there be a way to keep the tool down during toolpathing?

yes,that's what Anbu was implying,the yellow extended surfaces!i thought there was a way to do that in MC with solids

but what is needed is surface extension of original surface so that whilst edming there won't be a little bit of material left and not any extension of surfaces!

i need to extend the edges of all the surfaces,it's for electrode making,or else there would be a step when edming

is there any method of extending multiple surfaces without leaving any gaps?can i convert it to sheet body and extending this sheet body so that it doesn't leave any gaps at adjacent surfaces?

i have downloaded a file named contourovercut.you can post and try on your machine to see whether there is the overcut!

why not mastercam just gave a warning and allow the user to decide whether to go ahead with the toolpaths or abort just liked UG does

but the funny thing is it could not be seen on backplot or verify,but caught on vericut

do not use mp.dll ver 9.19,i used it,and it caused a big overcut on my closed chain 2D contour.when i downgrade to mp.dll ver 9.16,everthing's ok

after updating my mp.dll to the latest version 9.19,i thought it could solve some of the problems associated with the OM Fanuc system.but it seems whilst running a closed contour chaining,there was an overcut of one of the chains!i later change back to mp.dll ver 9.16,and the problem dissapears!do i need to update my post again to use mp.dllver9.19?it's already updated to version 9

watching winnie the pooh on cable tv and looking at your threads,but i find it too troublesome,it's better just to lie that you have a radius equal to the spark gap or i could just use your other method of shelling the solid

i must admit the design part of UG is incomparable,but the cam part needs improvement,too many hidden details and verify just too slow!but fortunately the UG guy employed by our company wasn't good enough to do programming,mastercam is still their bread and butter!
