is there a convenient method whereby a customer just give me all his points(coordinates)in maybe an editor text, and i can just automatically input inside mastercam to get all the points out?this is mcam8.
yes i would think so,without a lead in and lead out lines, the machine will alarm out even if you use arc in and arc out without any linear lead in or lead out.
i would liked to know better how to use cutter compensation{mcam8}.eg. i would put a left in computer and also a left in control.then i would key in the wear values at the machine.for example a -0.02 mm in wear, this compensates per side.also in lead in/out parameter, entry and exit values shold be half the cutter diameter with tangential entry and exit .is that right?can anybody confirm?
My post (fanuc default MPV8.1)even with a pwcs doesnt output any work offsets,i thought it will do automatically.now i am using a MI=2 for G54 output even though in my tool plane it was greyed out -1?!
When i imported a saved tool library from an mc8 file, how come the tool length no. was different to the tool no.,it caused a crash!and i broke a drill spindle!
i will try all your suggestions and do a upcut with a small feedrate with multiple depth of cuts.i am also using cutter compensation as i don't want to keep running to the computer to change the program.but i am wondering if cutter compensation could be used,i am using a cutter almost as big as the hole,by the way the hole is dia.2.05(-0.01),i amusing 2 mm cutter.
why is it holes, circle milled can't get correct to size specification.either i get one whereby the upper part of hole is too big,but bottom part pin gage no-go.one reason i could give is cutter tip part wear out.another reason cutter almost as large as hole,so feedrate is too fast for it to cut.anybody got any suggestions?
