Hi
I am having backplot cycle time problem in ver_10
Why cycle time is different in mastercam 9 and 10 ?
I am using the same toolpath in milling and lathe for both version. Which cycle time to trust now?
I am using backplot and then Info screen in ver_10 for cycle time. Is it right or wrong?
In ver_9 we use to run backplot and then check the screen in bottom for cycle time.
Thanks
Try Threadmilling, It is great
you can buy different type of tools for Threadmilling. In some threadmill tools you even dont have to make the holes. they made for hard material and blind holes
Are you using HSS or Carbide?
It is very hard without coolent, But you can use cutting oil and 40-50SFM(approx. 3000RPM)with .0005-.001 Chip load and try to use .01-.015 peck for 1MM drill.
Good Luck
Whenever I have some critical size to make in the pocket. I always use pocket to do only rough without any compensation and leave .005" material in the X,Y . Then I use contour to make all the final size using the same tool. Like this operator never get confuse.Because we control all our compensation/wear from 0.000 i.e left, left and right, right in contour.

ONLY THE LAST PROBLEM I HAVE THAT WHENEVER I IMPORT OPERATION WITH GEOMETRY FROM MC7 TO MC8 . I FOUND THAT SOME TOOL PATH (POINT/CHAIN)ARE MISSING AFTER IMPORT EVEN IF I SAVE ALL MC7 FILES AS MC8 THEN IMPORT THE OPERATION, WHEN I REGENERATE MY TOOL PATH I HAVE THIS MESSAGE:-
bnci_section0:cannot delete nci section!
BALBIR
THANKS MARK
IT WORKS
DO YOU KNOW HOW TO GET RID OF THAT CHECK MARK?
BECAUSE WHEN EVER I OPEN MY MASTERCAM IT IS THERE DO I HAVE HAVE TO UNSELECT MANUALLY ALL THE TIME?
WHENEVER I IMPORT OPERATION WITH GEOMETRY FROM MC7 TO MC8 . I FOUND THAT SOME TOOL PATH (POINT/CHAIN)ARE MISSING AFTER IMPORT
BALBIR
When I Import any Operation with there Geometry or Without any Geometry from JOB SETUP and IMPORT, My all Tool# changed to #1,2,3,4,5,6,7_ _ Instead of e.g. #31,44,12,33,3,65,98_ _
then I have to go back in operation manager and change all the tool numbers back to what I want or need. Why it is like that?
