I cant get X9 to run. Click the icon, instant crash window. I will try a re install.

The best part of this beta is now I don't have to wait for verify to crash, all I have to do is click the X9 icon and poof instant crash report window...

I have an issue opening older versions of MC part files. I use view sheets and all of the saved data from the previous version is completely erased, it also creates a view sheet tab called Old Main Viewsheet. Also I use custom planes with offset numbers that correspond to my machining centers, tombstone environment, and it just re orders them upon opening the file. Anyone else experience these issues? On a side note has any progress been made on the Verify...save as stl file...crash?

OK In that same window there is an option, feed speed calculator, and this opens up a window where I can adjust the exact settings I am looking for. Thank you very much for your help.

Will this open up the tool window where I can adjust the percentages of feed rates and spindle speeds? This is the option that I am looking for when I create a new tool in X8, it seems to have been removed from the options. I don't know how to link pictures here or I would snip out the things I am talking about.

I am currently using the Beta so if this isn't a permanent issue please excuse this thread. Whenever I want to open up a tool and edit the parameters in the Tool Manager page, the tool opens in the new format where the %'s for material cutting speed and feed per rev are no longer an option. Is this going to be the finalized version of the tool editing pages? If so I rate this a big thumbs down as most of my work is from tool and the ability to alter the parameters in the editing page was incredibly efficient for me. Thanks.

Greetings. I have been trying to convert custom tool files (libraries, data bases) that I have, from my version of X6 to X7, each time X7 changes ALL tools in ALL libraries to Carbide, no matter how I try to get this accomplished. Any ideas on how to prevent this change from happening? My biggest problem is all my drills have custom names as opposed to the typical fractional, etc. names that are in Mastercam, so whenever I use the calc. feeds and speeds from tool settings it is now way out for my HSS drills. This is quite a big deal, and any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Rob
