Hi,
I'm running X4, and updated my post using the
method in the sticky post.I also installed
Verisurf Hole Axis for X4 build date 5-1-09. Now
every time I post out a drill cycle operation, I
get a window titled verisurf with a yes/no
option, that generatesan error log. The nc code
is good, it's just annoying. (I haven't had to
use the hole axis function yet.)

Hi Guys,
Has anyone been able to network a Haas through a router to a server? The server runs Win 2000 and uses dynamic IP addresses. I can network the CNC to a stand alone computer that has XP. We have talked about creating a sub-network that would use static addresses.
Thanks, Mike
Hi,
How can I get the verify ribbon bar location to
stick? Every time I verify something it starts up
across the middle of the screen. I'm using X3.
thanks, Mike
Hi, I'm running X2 SP1 and I'm having trouble with the tool list in the op manager. The part is programmed and the file was closed and opened again.4 of the tools were gone from the list and 4 others were in there twice (T3,T3,T4,T4).Any Ideas?
Mike
This machine is a '98. the software is 9.46. I think we are going to go to the 16 meg memory and upgrade the cable . Hopefully with the better cable I can bump up the baud rate and load the whole file into memory instead of DNC.
I was told that it worked a few years ago. That was with a different computer (win98). It hasn't worked with this setup.
The cable is cat5 and is about 50' long. It runs near some electrical conduit. What kind of cable do you reccomend?
I don't see a special ground wire on the machine. It is grounded through the power supply.
Hi guys,
WE are having trouble using DNC to a Haas VF-7. Mastercam 8.1.1, Windows XP Pro with service
pack 2, rs-232 cable. The really strange part is that if I load a nc file to machine memory it
will work fine.If I load that same file (except manually change M30 to M00) thru DNC it will
run for a while and then alarm out. The alarms will vary. No end, bad number, unknown code.
Mastercom communications and machine control are set the same. Cable connectors are set to the
Haas manual.Right now I'mm taking a surface file and manually breaking the code into 4 seperate programs so they will fit into the controller.Running out of ideas.
thanks,Mike Carr
