  3. Bruce, I have a 21i-m para#9900 set to 4 Maybe??
  4. Dan, I'm not even sure if you have it, if you have the g5.1q1 in your program just delete it and make sure you delete the g5.1q0(g5.1q0 shuts off the look ahaed) at the end of that tools operation. I am not familiar with your control so it's kind of a shot in the dark It did work for my problem hth
  5. I had a buffer alarm recently running cimco 5 drip feeding a large surfacing program off the network server to a fanuc 21i-m control running g5.1q1(15 block look ahead turned on). I had a 1/32 endmill so I had the feed set real slow. About an hour in I got 087 buffer overflow alarm. I took out the g5.1q1 and no more alarm. I think it had to do with the slow feed rate. Just throwing this out there maybe it will help? X2 MR2 SP1
  6. Many many years ago I ran an Acroloc with Fanuc 6 and I had some notes with settings for MC version 6.2 The only difference in the communications from it to yours is our baude rate was 1200. The settings in the machine were: TV CHECK=0(OFF) PUNCH CODE=O(ISO) INPUT UNIT=1(INCH) INPUT DEVICE=2(RS232C) OUTPUT DEVICE=2(RS232C) INPUT DEVICE=1 -BG.EDIT- OUTPUT DEVICE=2 -BG.EDIT- I don't have any other info just this one note I had. Just maybe this might help???????
  7. ask then to save it as a stp file.
  8. in pro e try saving it as a step file. then open it with stepfiles in mastercam. it usually gets rid of a lot of junk.
  9. ours dosent move until after we send it home. we had ours fixed by someone that used to work for bridgeport.i dont know where your located but i have his #. ask him on phone??
  10. after you start up the machine and it runs diagnostics in the upper left it should say machine not homed hit move absolute. on ours 3 is move absolute. then it says moving axis to home position. + is to do move on our machine. it should go home if you are on the rite screen.
  11. on ours 3 means move absolute + means do the function selected. our machine is a 95 or 1996 model. we put in a new harddrive and updated to the latest software but functions and screens are basicly the same. does yours have a different key for move abs.
  12. i never get that screen. ours comes up with the select function screen with x z coordinates and program, feed, tool library, offsets, ect. our manuals dont have any error message charts. did you try running your software disk?
  13. on startup it should run diagnostic automaticly then punch 3 then + to send to home position
