    That was it. C-axis cross drill in "X6" shows an example in the toolpath type dialog box as if you were drilling off of center as if you had a "Y" axis on your lathe, so I would never used it because I don't have a "Y" axis. I have always used c-axis drill. In X7 in the toolpath type dialog box it shows the C-axis cross drill..... drilling on center line of the part (totally opposite) of X6. FML!!! So from now on I will only use C-AXIS CROSS DRILLING.....I have fought with this for a long time... Thanks for your help!!!!1

    30 degrees.... I guess my big complaint is I just don't know how to control where these features are cut. I just rely on the software to do it for me and most of the time it is wrong. What am I not getting here?? I get that I am in a "milling" mode but how do I control it?? Sorry if I sound frustrated.

    I program from one plane and my machine is supposed to index the part accordingly. I use only one plane/zero when programming the lathes.

    The holes are not landing on the flats that I cut. I have a lathe with live tooling. It drills the holes in between the flats. The milling and holes are not indexed the same to each other. How do I get the posted code to cut the part correctly as I program it and as you see it on the screen? Dodgerfan!!! What other views??? Please explain!

    OK, I have been programming lathes for a short time now and I am having problems with C-AXIS stuff. When I c-axis face mill flats on my diameter and then go to drill a c-axis hole on those flats, the holes will not land on the flats I just machined. How can I control this in Mastercam X7 or from a machine config? I will attach a example file. Thanks CAXIS.MCX-7

    Maybe it is because my file name has a (period) in it and it does not like that???? Hmmm...Thanks for the insight. I will have to investigate that..

    Alright fellas.... For the most part I love the setup sheets but sometimes I get this error. (see attached pic) I have tried restarting and that does not fix it. Any ideas as to why I get this?

    If I open a file that I created with x7 its fine. If I try to open X7 only it crashes. I want to uninstall X7 ("COMPLETELY") registry files and everything completely whip my computer clean and install it (NOT) the way Mastercam told me to initally. I want to do it the correct way. Any help would be great. Which files in The reg I need to delete. Please advise. I will give it another try... I have tried deleting the config files and all that Jazz!! Please I just want to start over! Thanks Frustrated in MI!

    I'm over X7!!!!!!!!!!!!! Over it!!!!!!!! now the GD software won't even open up. Crashes just opening it up.... Nothing changed!!!!!!!!!!! IM DONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! BACK TO X6... THANKS FOR TRYING TO HELP. I CAN'T HAVE THIS. MY SHOP IS WAY TO BUSY TO MESS WITH THIS DAMN SOFTWARE ALL DAY EVERY DAY!!

    NO THAT IS ANOTHER FOLDER DEEPER IN THE TREE I CAN SEE FOLDERS JUST NOT FILES (LMD'S)

    I have the same problem and mine are not write protected. I try to update folder and nothing happens?? HELP!

    THE LMD-7 FILE IS IN THE FOLDER I POINT TO BUT IT IS NOT IN THE DROP DOWN. i CAN NOT SELECT IT OR THE OTHER ONES IN THAT FOLDER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! GETTING VERY IRRITATED WITH X7.........

    Im using X7 .... well trying to anyways. I do have my lmd on a server. It worked fine in X6 and my X7 mill stuff works but I can not get the lathe LMd to show up in the default machines tab. It worked fine before. they are there I just can not see them. do they have to be LMD-6 and not LMD-7???

    I am trying to make my lathe be my default lathe when I change to lathe in Mastercam but I can not do it. When I open the configuration and go to the default machine tab and navigate to where my lathe "lmd" file on my server it does not show up so I can select it. I don't have any trouble with my Mill Default files, they are there!! Any ideas as to why they do not show up??

    Good call HARDMILL I went into my configuration and under the screen tab I changed it to GDI instead of OpenGL and it WORKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
