when i use Surface rough pocket with a boundary is there a way i can control the cutter to climb mill only with out turning on the finish parameter for a finish cut. The cutter chatters when a take a heavy cut in conventional cutting really what to rough the pocket out and the finish cut is a waste of time in this operation. Regards sav

Hi, Mike I Will email you my posts that i have for mazak vqc which runs with mcam v9 no problem with that. I had a look at one of the mazak manuals it's about 300 pages i will try to photo copy the manual and send it via mail. I will let you know. I also have a training book step by step were it shows you part exercises and setups for mazaks controlS were i first learned how to programme mazatrol that's only about 20 pages i think that will suit you and this time... Hi Cadcam, I had a look at your standingletters.mc9 file which you made for me but it was not what i was looking for , First of i need to use only v cutters lets say 20 deg d-bit with .20mm dia and it must go around each letter at a defined increment 0f .05mm step size each move is a 3d move in xyz so it can walk up the corner of the letter to give it a .1 rad in ther corner . Hi Cadcam, Thank for going out of your way to help me From what i can see from gif file it looks like the letters are sharp ,but not very clear . Can you send the file to the ftp so i can take a closer look at it. I Had a rep from delcam come in today showing me Artcam pro v5.5 and it did what i wanted it to do but i would rather go with mastercam of cause.. Cadcam , I also use the the new engraving addon for v9 , It is a must for anyone you engraves alot . I do a lot of electrode and mold work and the best part about it is how it can pick out corners of letters giving it a sharp chisel look using v-cutters. Any one Using The New Engrave chook. Love the idea that Mastercam Engrave automatically creates crisp, tapering, angular edges. I think the software was made from camaix ? any ideas...on much the at adon for v8.11 is my dealer is a bit slow getting back to me..
