Hi All,
We tried running perfect plank pine for a pattern. Every time it moved onto a vertical edge it chattered. We used a .5" 4 flute ball at 18000 RPM and ran it at 300 ipm. We run this same scenario with mahogany and never have any trouble.
Thanks
Todd
Hi All, I'm about to cut a pattern out of Mahogany and need some advise. I need to know a spindle speed and feed rate for a .25" 4 Flute Ball endmill. This will just be used for finish passes. It will be taking off 0.02.
Thanks
Todd
I can change the background to white and go to Screen/Copy Screen Image to Clipboard. Next, I go to our Paint Shop Pro program and past as new image. Then I save the image as a .jpg.
Hi all! Please forgive me if this has already been covered. I've searched and couldn't find it. Does X have Studio. We send out 90 percent of our designs as jpgs from studio. This allows me to change the background to white in a matter of seconds: without changing the default values. Please advise.
Thanks
I can't get curves to work for beans. Nils and gcode, thanks for mentioning misc values. I didn't look closely enough in there. I set my secondary axis to 1 which is positive and it forced my c axis to wind before it started. Now I get a single fluid cut without the head retracting from the material. Thanks for all your help.
Hi all,
I’m trying to use a 5 axis curve toolpath to cut 360 degrees around a part. However, Mastercam will not generate negative numbers for me. I need C to start at –180 and move to 180. This would provide a clean simple cut. However, it wants to start at 0 and move to 180 then unwind and do 0 to 180 again. My post is set up to run from –180 to 180 already. Any Ideas?
I believe I have figured out my 1-1 issue. I can print something from Mastercam 1-1, but if I attempt to print again it will try to fill the page. If I restart Mastercam it will let me have a 1-1 again. Anyone have any thoughts?
All is well! CNC software came through with a new usb hasp. Looks great, works great, and (so far) has not given me any trouble at all. Kudos to CNC software for pulling through. p.s. thanks for your help all!
My Mastercam rep is trying to get me a usb hasp, but it’s tough because they make you go through simswap.com. There they have box’s to fill out which say sim # and unique ID. It appears that haspinfo will only give you this unique ID if you have a hasp 3 and I have a 4. It’s back in my rep’s hands now. I’ll try to keep you posted.
I think my 1-1 print vs full page issue is a printer setting. We have 6 printers on our network. Some of them will preview 1-1 and some will preview full page even with the box checked.
I take back what I said before. I just tried printing from another computer and it tries to fill out the page instead of printing 1-1. Even with the box checked.
