  1. We are in the process of learning the MasterCam Art module.

When executing the artmachine.dll We are getting the

"Incompatible C-Hooks version number”. I am certain the link is fine

as the remainder of the C-Hooks work well enough. I am at a loss as to the

recompile instruction. Is this a step that a relative novice in compeering

programming can do. If so any info anyone can help me with would be most appreciated

  3. Morning all, I know x5 will not accept a GUI interface for there setup

Sheets any more. Is there a simple way to convert a GUI from x4 to

A format that X5 will read without creating a new one from scratch?

    Thanks for any input

  4. Al,

Yup, both of them are still here, we are just plugging away.

Tried running in compatable mode gives me the same problem.Tried installing X3 while I dont get the same error the box locks up at the same place.

Had enough of it today, going to shut it down and start again in the morning.

Do you ever get down this way? Got a great little

pub off powerline and McNab, I can be found there most every friday. Lets ge together soon. First rounds on me.

  5. I have loaded MCX4 on a laptop running Windows 7

64 bit os. There did not appear to any errors on the set up.

Now when I attempt to set up my system Configuration files the problems begin.

If I attempt to set any parameters the cursor will jump to any part of the window looking for a numerical input.

    IE.

In the system configuration mode I will try to set my file data paths and file usage, the cursor will jump to the “ Number of files/

Folders to show in the MRU fields”. If I attempt to input a number in the field I will get the pop up stating the number must be in a certain range, if I place a number in this range I will get the same message.

In the colors menu, If I choose a color the numerical color Will pop up stating 0 to 255.

The system will default to any numerical input on any page and only canceling the page will get me out of it.

Has anyone seen or dealt with issue.

  6. Morning all, loading X4 on a new laptop,

seems to load fine but system states no sim found. When I use the hasp utility, it will not see the sim either. I get an error when inserting the sim in the computer stating no driver found. Using Windows 7.

Can anyone offer assistance. Thanks all

  7. cadcam3d, Thanks for the info, drivers have been

reinstalled from your recommened site and it is now working fine.

gcode, also thanks for the input, 3d was enabled.

I cannot shout the praises of our forum members enough. I do not remember a problem we have had

that was not resolved in a timely and efficent

with the help of members. Thanks to all

  8. I have just installed Mu3 for X4. I am using a 4000 FLX spaceball and it has stopped

working. It was working fine before the upgrade. The message states reload drivers. The drivers I have must be incomplete, As after reloading I get the same error. I cannot find drivers thru the internet. If anyone can steer me to a download site, or send me a copy of the drivers, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks all.

  9. We are machining on a horizontal mill. WCS is always set to Top. Tooling and construction planes used are front, right, and left, (00_90_270 degrees.

The work piece is located on a database of the tombstone, the axis of rotation being the center of the tombstone with X Y Z origins also the center of the tombstone.

There is no problem with the machining or programming of the work piece, NC output is good and there are no other issues with machining. The issue we are cannot over come is the fact that when creating a STL file for verification purposes, the STL file origin is always located at the X Y Z of the tombstone and positioned with the same coordinates. Is there way to create the STL file so it will be positioned in the placed

positions ( T/C Planes) on the tombstone rather than defaulting to the WCS origins.

  10. gcode.

Just got off the phone with my dealer and you are

100% on the mark. Unfortunately the codes cannot

Be assigned remotely. IT will be in shortly and I will

Have access to the server. I have said it before and will

state it again “You guys sure do know you stuff”.

    Many thanks to all. Larry

  11. Friday our MC shut down. When I check the net

    hasp the info states

    Seriak Number XXXX

    Start Date 04/13/2009

    End Date 06/12/2009

    Maintenance experation date 04/30/2010

I was not aware that the NetHasp expiried. I have

a call into my distributer, however I do not think he will get back to me for a few hours. As

we have 15 seats of X Mill 3, this is a long time to be down. Can anyone be of assistance. Thanks to all
