Sorry to say this, but I think you have miss read the question. What is the best Controller? Not what is the best Cad/Cam system. The best controller has to be the easiest to use, with and without Cad/cam system. Take the video cassette. What was better Betamax or VHS, Betamax produced the better quality picture, but VHS was cheaper for the manufacturer, so VHS won, but it was not the best video system. Just my few Rappers worth (Swiss small change)

The best cnc controller I have used is the Mazatrol, but the Heidenhains come in second for me. I think the most widely used are Fanuc, though in Europe I think the Heidenhains are giving Fanuc a good run for their money.

Thanks everybody, the offset is now added correctly, but I am unable to save the job setup, so it activates correctly when I load the post for a specific machine. I.E one machine does not use the offset code, so must have "D" set to null. Any advice peeps?

Every time I load a tool from the tool library it sets the tool radius offset number to the same as the length offset. When you use tool 1 it sets the length to H1 and the radius to H1. I want the radius to be set at 50 higher than H1 (H1 + 50= H51). What am I doing wrong? Please Help. p.s using German version of Mastercam V8, manuals also in German.

Cadcam Cant get to your FTP address, allways false user or password comes up. What am I doing wrong.

I have been waiting a week now for a reply from Mastercam but as yet there has been no reply. This is not good customer liason. Thank you for your reply to my question. I will try one more time asking Mastercam. This is the second time I have asked Mastercam directly for help, and both times they have ignored my email. Their aftersales service is the worst I have encountered on the net, or from a dealer. [This message has been edited by pip (edited 05-11-2001).]

I am looking for Mastercam manuals for version 8. Also looking for a manual on post prosessor editting. All in English please?. Can anybody help, maybe sell me one of theirs, or point me in the right(write) direction. Working in Switzerland, all the manuals are in German, and my dealer is unable to help. Look forward to hearing from you.

Has any one used the Mazak post from the V8 disk, and with any joy. We have a VQC 15/40, and would like to try some 3D machining on it, using Mastercam V8. Any advice appreciated.
