  1. Hello, I just started to machine molds with MasterCAM and have a lack of experience in choosing the better tool path techniques. I was wondering if any one would send me a couple of files so I could get a better grasp on how yens do it. Any comments, files, and guidance are greatly appreciated. Thank u. Email: [email protected] (the "0"s are zeros)
  2. I would like to be able to pan and zoom with my mouse wheel, like in AutoCAD.
  3. hello guys/girls I just built a new computer and i was woundering if someone could send me some mastercam files that there computer has a hard time with in verify. my e-mail is [email protected] (the "0's are zeros) + i am also interested in seeing how yens machine the part too. thank you
  4. I would like to use my mouse weel to pan and zoom. like in autocad
  5. Hi guys, I have a question about tool paths and clearing clamps. whats the easyest way to do it, and how? Like your doing a profile and then you stop go up, over, and back down to clear the clamp. Happy Easter
  6. do you have error checking/parity on.
  7. hello guys. i was wondering what would be involved in altering my post to move my subs to the begining of my generated code. like before the program No.
  8. hello is there a way to take this line pbld, n, "=",035, *sub_prg_no, e and get only the # and 035 and program no. to come out with no space between them My generated code outputs = #0001 to tell it to do sub 0001. I cant have space between the = and the #. How would you correct this? (its on lhe last line) psub_call_s #Call to sub level result = nwadrs(strp, sub_prg_no) #sub_prg_no = sub_prg_no + 100 #Add sub number offset if progno = sub_prg_no, result = mprint(sprgnerror) pbld, n, "=",035, *sub_prg_no, e
  9. Now i have another question. My generated code outputs = #0001 to tell it to do sub 0001.
  10. What I am trying to do is change the mpfan post to a Bridgeport post, since it has 4 axis and sub capabilities. Now in Fanuc controllers the subs begin with O Like O3456 and I want to change it to output #3456 . Any ideas. I am a beginner at customization and I am not exactly sure how to change this. It seams that if I could make a string like (spound = 035) and replace the stro in a couple places it would work. psub_st_s #Header in sub leveln result = nwadrs(stro, sub_prg_no) " ", e *sub_prg_no, e pbld, n, sgabsinc, e
  11. Can I change the ASCII number equvialent like (035) in to a string (or something) so when I call that string it will out put it in my code
  12. Well I fingered out the problem. There was no G17 in the code. Here I am thinking it should be model on startup, but the control wants to see the G17 ------------ Hay G-man whets the theory on why Mastercam brakes up circles; that seams kind of stupid. Dose it do it in nine. Hay G-man who said you were ever on?????????????? [ 01-02-2002: Message edited by: s0l0seven ]
  13. Bridgeport now uses only Fanuc and Heidenhein. But up to a few years ago they offered their own control too, for many years. Like Boss 4 through Boss 10, SX 7, DX 32, BPMC, are just what I know of.
  14. 1) Its a Bridgeport Boss 9 2) 1 chain one element 3) I am assuming you ment under lead in and lead out enter/exit on first/last depth cut only. Yes this dose help get rid of the G0. However my cuter comp still goes on and off and which seems to brake up the circle in to halves, half on half off. 4) The problem is that the Mastercam swings half the ark with the cuter comp on then shuts it off for the rest. At the machine it would swing half the ark and then stop, and give you an error saying unspecified feed rate (or some thing like it). I don’t know way but I think it was because it would have a line with G2 then a line with G0 then a line with a G1 with no Feed on that line. Maybe??? I could e mail you the file if you wanted, its not completely dun though Thank you
