I installed the html setup sheet and followed all the instructions in the read me file. but when trying to open the setup sheet, the explorer opens and gives me the message : "internet explorer cannot open the internet site : http://files/mcam8/mill/nc/testing.html c:/program files/mcam8/mill/nc/testing.html" I found that html file at: c:/program files/mcam8/mill/nc/testing.html what is the problem?? thanks,

I also noticed that problem when using multi passes. the conditions for this bug are : more then 1 depth or multi pass,cutter comp. in control, the "retract" is active. if i cancel the retract(i can give the clearance instead) the problem is gone.

I did A regular 2d contour, The depth of that contour is -20 mm, I activated the depth cuts and did 10mm cuts. i used cutter comp. in control and i gave it perpendicular entry & exit. After the first cut (at 10mm) i got the message : simulate cutter compensation in control stoped at entity 0 to 1..... I canceled the "Retract" and the problem gone! It looks like a bug to me. I had that problem too, this problems happens because of hardware conflicts. Mastercam can somtimes crash because other applications (like antivirus on the background). Try to quit all applications before running mastercam. Also go to control pannel-display-settings-andvanced-performance, and low your hardware acceleration (it worked for me). What kind of display adapter are you using??

Yes, It works only one way,but if you'll type the feed rate and you'll get the spindle speed, it seems to look ok, but after clicking ok, it's gone.check the NC file and you'll see the problem.

I did write the thread and tap,but when i click ok,the feed rate "jumps" and become somthing else (the spindle speed stays the same). I didn't have that problem in v.8, and i have it only in v8.1 (i use the same post).

I can't save the parameters for tapping!! after clicking ok,the parameters (feed rate & spindle speed are gone!) Will they fix this bug?? (I'm using v8.1) Thanks, Elad. [This message has been edited by elad (edited 02-25-2001).]

I also noticed that after writing the feed rate and the spindle speed,mastercam v8.1 doesn't save it!!!!! after i clicked ok,i clicked again on the parameters in the operations manager,and i found out that my parameters (feed and spindle speed)were gone! if it's a bug,so it's a big one!

Hi, when choosing a tap rh tool, mastercam calculates the feed rate by the spindle speed X threads. mastercam v8.1 calculates it different : feed rate / threads. this is not a good way to calculate it. i had to calculate the spindle speed x thread myself, and then write it in the feed rate. it takes more time. anyone knows why??is it a bug?? as far as I now the sub programs suppose to work fine (i use mpfan post),I had no problems, but I heard there are some problems,and it's better to avoid using sub program inside sub program. I also heard that most of the problems were fixed in v. 8.1.

Hi, i had to make changes and i right clicked the tool,and i changed the flute. after i clicked ok,i noticed that the spindle speed and the feed rates changed to 0 why?? why always when i do a little change mastercam drop my spindle speed and feeds?? so?? you give mastercam the diameter of the tool, why can't it lead in or out to the center of the tool??

I use mastercam v8. I had to do a simple open contour,and i did the chain. after i finished to chain,i had to change it (sometimes i want to add another entity to that chain,or to unselect an entity in the chain,but i found out that it's imposible to edit an existing chain,i must rechain all. is there a way to edit a chain,or do i have to delete it and make the chain again?? thanks, Elad.

while trying to make a simple drilling, after i do the regen path, i get the message in window : DEBUG tp_pt_is_grid(): cannot get grid or bolt entity What does it mean??

I know some of you wrote already about this problem,but i still couldn't understand the answer. Why can't i lead out to point??i can only lead in from point,but if i am doing another point in the geometry,and using exit point, Mastercam ignores it,and goes out to the first point. Did they fix it in version 8.1??
