  1. I too am getting the 1628 error what "windows hot fix" will fix this? windows thinks it is up to date
  2. I am looking for a way to drill tubes starting from the to and feeding through the first wall then rapid to the the top of the bottom then feeding the rest of the way. Can this be done with a custom drill cycle or is there a better way? I have been doing it longhand posting my X and Y from Mastercam and editing the code. I am using X2 and the MPMASTER post
  3. I tried the macro on my old VF4 and it sets the programable coolant to 1 on every tool. I don't have tool probing or use a tool setter I set the tools to a gage block off my top face. I also don't know anything about macros. Any thoughts on what I can do to get this going. Thanks
  4. I guess someone from Boeing would know about planes.
  5. Thanks It is a bit strange I reselected the planes from edit common parameters and the C0. disappeared. I can't seem to duplicate it. Problems disappear shortly after posting a question here. Pete
  6. Hi Folks I am getting an unwanted C0. in my nc file. like this quote: G00 G17 G20 G40 G80 G90 G28 C0. T1 M06 ( 1/4 SPOTDRILL) (MAX - Z2.) (MIN - Z-.025) G17 G00 G90 G54 C0. S1800 M03 X1.25 Y-1.6875 G43 H1 Z2. M08 G98 G81 Z-.025 C0. R.1 F4. G80 M09 M05 G91 G28 Z0. M01 G28 C0. I think it is an axis output turned on by the WCS. Part has several origins set in WCS gets manually flipped and reoriented. 3 axis Haas vmc MPMASTER post X2 MR1 SP1 How do I turn the C output off? Thanks Pete
  7. I found a switch in the post. Like usual I solve the problem myself about 5 minuets after asking for help. pete
  8. Some how my settings or post got changed to output a G95 and feed per rev for tapping. I am running an older Haas that cant handle that. What do I need to look for to change it to feed rate and get rid of the G95. Or is there a setting on my 97 VF 4 that will allow feed per rev. Thanks Pete
  9. Storkman is speedo not speeds 0 I went back to the MPmaster post and control def and that seems to work now. I don't have a lot of changes so it was easer to start over then to try and figure out what going on. Pete
  10. Hi Folks X2 SP1 mpmaster post all speeds are output as 0. Feeds and speeds for tool. Worked fine before SP1. From the read me for SP1 "MPParam has been modified to output correct spindle speeds, lathe turret parameters, and tool changer parameters. MPMaster-derived post processors may need to be updated." What do I need to do to get my speeds output correctly? pete
  11. I use the post from http://www.emastercam.com/posts/mpsubrep/mpsubrep.html program one part and the post spits out sub programs for each op. the main program calls the subs and sets the offsets
  12. quote: Slapping another loader fixure on the table when the cycles is done will be much quicker than changing parts out in the machine Thats's what I have been doing I just need to put in enough parts for a 2-3 hour cycle. I will make to jig plates and a sub plate and see how it runs Pete
  13. Hi Folks I need to increase the number of parts in the machine. The part is a 0.625 square bar 15 inches long with 6 taped holes in it. I run the in batches of about 1000 on a machine without an operator. I want to fill up the table and let it run for 2-3 hours. I need some ideas for holding 40-50 parts without taking to long to change the parts out. What I am thinking about doing is a plate with locating slots and a bar to clamp over the top. Thanks Pete
  14. Thanks Guys I am running this mill on a Haas. The job I am working on now is just kleening off the scale on some 40X10 inch bars about 0.02 to take off seems to be runing ok. I would never have bought a cutter this big but gift is nice. Most of the faceing I do is smaller and a 2 inch Sandvik 290 works good. Thanx for the offer Steve I just might. pete
  15. Thanks guys It's a Kenametal body with Sandvik inserts.
