  1. All heidenhains can read ISO format but the last owners may have disabled the .ISO file format if so just switch it back on again

Paramater Mp7224.1 change to "0" (do not disable editor)

  2. In this case I am using regular pocketing toolpaths, if I use co-ordinate then the tool plane does not rotate

and If I use toolplane while in verify it looks right the co-ordinates do not tie in

I have already given up on this and have just created extra toolplanes and geometry and reselected something like crazy millman suggested headscratch.gif

  3. I cannot do this for this machine or this job

it is a horizontal head-head machine

Basically what I done was rotate one component 180 deg's looking in the top view so as I could nest 2 parts in the one billet

I had thought about just rotating the geometry and reselecting but I was trying to perservere and get my head around the transform operation

My thinking was it would save me time which as usual I dont have

  4. OK I'm trying to transform (Rotate) a 5 axis toolpath around an axis so I can machine 2 parts from the same billet.

The results I'm having are somewhat confusing can any one help explain this

So far I think you create a tool plane and create a toolpath then you go into the transform operation:

    -click rotate

    -select tool plane

    -press rotate tab

    -select about a point

    -click on the point

    -turn on select view

    -click the top plane

-set rotation angle (180) and no of steps to (1)

    press ok

The only thing is I'm having limited sucess with this

  5. To stop the waterfall effect

Open the verify parameter doc stored under C:mcam9millopsverify.prm

Roll down to line 76 and insert a new line number 77 0.0025

start with this value and increase by 0.0005

untill you get the result you need

I had this problem last week and whenever I rung technical support this is what they told me to do.

    It worked

  6. You need to speek to Unisign they will send you the data It isnt really a demo cd but a video file of the machine in action on some aerospace components And this thing does shift metal!! cool.gif

  7. Some of our tool suppliers have mentioned these machine tools and all have said that they are quite good.I myself have seen the demo cd video for these and am indeed quite impressed.

  8. Mathew

If you do not check the open pockets cutting method box. but still select the open pockets as your pocket type.

you then can use all the other pocketing cycles to machine a non closed chain.

    Mainly I would use Zig-Zag .

This will allow you to rapid between cuts

  9. While configuring the mp masterpost for our new machine . I noticed the following string.

However when I Looked in this directory its not there.

Where do I get this at. ?

I'm hoping this will post both the code and the setup sheet at the same time ??
