  1. I,m programming a tombstone job on a Matsuura H-Plus 630 machine (different job on every face) and I want to use the center of rotation with only 1 work co-ordinate g54 .The problem is that mastercam is allocating sequential work offset's to the 4 face's ie. g54,g55,g56,g57

and if I try to assign the same offset no. to each face in the t/c parameter tab

mastercam mastercam tells me that the work offset is already assigned.

What am I missing, not seeing or doing wrong?

    Post mod.??

    button or switch enabled ??

  2. Tomorrow (Friday) our Company is having it's Annual award ceremony for Employee's Who have achieved certificates Internally or externally

for any work related training or course's

they Have done in the last 12 month's

I will Receive my Mastercam Certification (and Solidworks)

and with any luck get a peck on the cheek from the Christina Aguilera lookalike Training council representative (no tongues allowed)

Do any of the rest of you guy's have any sort of recognition of your achievement's in your respective company's ??

  3. We just had a variant of the sobig virus get past our antivirus software .it affected .exe files all over the network about 25 computers BUT the most worrying for us is that it also got into one of our mazak horizontals with the pc based fusion control !! (permament ethernet connection)

lucky we got that one stopped as quick as possible. eek.gif

  4. Mitsubishi carbide have a new facemill for contouring .We are using it to cut pre-hardened aircraft steel at 45 Rc (4340)

low surface speed 70m/min and 3.5 mm per tooth

2mm depth of cut with 4 teeth (that's 12mm 1/2" per rev.) I'm a big fan of Sandvik but this thing destroyed it and lasted longer as well.

this is the only reason I still have a

    job

It is backed up every night and this has saved my bacon

( although i must see if it can moniter changes every hr as suggested by bryan 314)

Autosave is not set to save without my consent

pretty suicical that.(but thank's for the suggestion anyway )
