  1. I don't know what I accidentally hit but when I fit my Geometry its so big it extends behind my Ops Manager. It didn't used to do that.It all fit in the window to the right of my Ops manager. How do I get it to only fit in the window that's to the right of my Ops manager?

  2. OK I used the help & know where to find my post,on the Ops manager Files & Edit in the Machine section.I hit edit & the only choice for posts is my customized one, theres no other options.

So up in Settings I picked Machine Defenition Manager & I get a window that says Machine Defenition File Warning, there isn't any place to pick choices.

  3. I recently discovered that when I don't check off Use clearance only at the start & end of operation my post wont post a G98.Ive been using Mastercam unsupported since 2010 & I don't know where to get in to lookit my customized post.Ive been told to compare my customized post to the generic HAASS post to see whats different.Using file compare.

Does anybody know what I have to look at in my customized post to see why it wont post a G98?

And 1st of all how/where do I see my post?

  4. OK that all sounds good but Im clueless how to do it.I know how to window things. So I can window the holes, then hit ALT + E.That I can do.When I use the QM Drafting, its an icon on the right of my screen,I hit the icon & then the delete that looks like a pencil. How do I differentiate that icon to do lines and/or arcs?

  5. When I import DXF files to use as Geometry I get them as DWG's so I have to cleanup all the unnecessary lines etc to use them.I use the QM Drafting feature which gets rid of a lot of the garbage I don't need.My parts have lotsa tapped & drilled holes so Im spending a lot of time deleting the crosshairs in the center of the holes. Is there a faster/easier way to get rid of all those lines?

  6. Cathedral,I utilize G98 or G99 when milling pockets or contours & it works good.

But this is drilling so its different.

Can you give me a G code line of what Im trying to do looks like?

Im attempting to rapid down to T.O.S. execute my feed in,rapid up above my islands, move to next position, rapid down to T.O.S. & feed in

  7. Im working on a part that has alotta tapped holes down at Z-.640.How can I get the spot & drill to rapid down to Z-.640 before executing its move?Right now after every move it rapids up to Z .050 & feeds down to Z - .640 which wastes alotta time.I cant use G98 cuz theres islands in the way.Is there a way to get the tools to rapid down to Z-.640,do its move, rapid up to Z .050,then rapid down to Z-.64 again?

  8. OK I fingered the damn thing out! All I had to do was offset my outer perimeter geometry (which I added cuz Im doing island pocketing & I needed room for the tool to go round the bosses).I offset it out .050 & she goes right where I want her to.

You guys are the only support I have these days so a big Thanx to everyone that chimed in,ya'all saved me again.

Anybody know why when people respond Im not getting pinged in my email? Last time I was.

  9. Im doing a square part with bosses along the outside edges so Im using island pocketing.Im using a 1-1/4 Facemill with 2 inserts in it.I want the Facemill to start off of the part since Im plunging 3 different depths.

So Ive added a point off the part that I want my Facemill to come back to every time it plunges.Ive picked add a point & dragged it to the top of my Geometry dialog box & checked off use entry point in my Lead in/Lead out.

But the tool isn't going there to start,it does some funny moves 1st & eventually makes it over there.Anybody got any ideas how to get it to go directly there?

  10. So Ive got 3 choices, put notes on a level & lookit them that way,use the setup sheet or use Manual Data entry.Im going with the Manual Data entry method. That way when I callup an old Program I will see that theres notes to be looked at.

If I use the level method I wouldn't be alerted theres notes unless I lookit that particular level, the setup sheet method saves stuff funky & when I tried it out it was prone to losing info I put in there.

Again,Thanx to everybody that chimed in.Free Mai-tais for everybody! Avoid hangovers...stay drunk.
