Does anyone know if the drafting dimensions in matercam can be placed or pulled away from the actual dimesioning area or do you just need to resize the dimension fonts.
I can do this in Solid Edge and other 3D programs by pulling the dimesion text in a dynamic mode.
IF you are going to buy something get a MB with lots of space for fast ram some can take more than one type of ram, but not mixed. R5 SCSI a good graphics card. 10,000 rpm scsi drives.
All of these will enhance performance and give you a mahcine than will last you a longer time.
Also go with a dual if you can even if you only use on processor at first. Best to be prepared for version X.
Dual Xeon's are very helpfull however I am not sure current mastercam versions support multi-threading.
Your best bet is to find a mother board with lots of sockets for ram. SCSI not IDE is a better way to go on any 3D app. As for the graphics a little more speed and ram can never hurt.
I have gone from 1- 1gig processor to 2 - 1gig processor (PEnt III) and have notice only a slight increase in performace in Mastercam.
Anybody have and system recommendations.
You may be able to call some at Harrington plastics or Ridout, Ryan Herco or any of the plastics suppliers for the proper solvent to use in this type of application.
Also some of the chemical supply houses might be helpful also.
Crown Chemical, Baker Bros.
Does anyone know of an importer for Versacad.
Other than versacad itself.
Would like to import into MCAM.
I have Rhino, Solid Edge, Polytrans, and other but have had no luck.
I just wanted to know about setting up more than
the usual g54 - g59 for jobs with multiple setups.
I was reading in the Haas manual about the G52 but was uncertain as to how to make use of it within Mastercam.
This sound to me like one the W32 series worms that was going around IE sobig or Blaster.
I had a laptop with the same thing.
I wiped the drive. Reinstalled win 2000 and as soon as you go back on the Internet you'll get it again.
You need to have someone else dowload the patches for win 2000 for you then clean the drive re-install win 2000 and apply the patches before you hook back up to the net.
