  1. When I verify I have true solids and turbo on then I will click on the fast forward button. In X2 the fast forward button doesnot always fast forward it will show the material disappering like the play button does. If I switch to the non turbo mode then fast forward works fine but is obviously alot slower.

I'm I the only one that has this problem?

    thank you

  2. In X Mr2 backup did not backup the autosave file ([email protected]) it would only backup the file that I am working on (job number123@100). Now in X2 It is still backing up the working file, but now also the autosave file and it does not limit the number of backups of the autosave to the 10 that is in the config. So I just deleted 71 files named [email protected] thru [email protected] in the directory that I am working on. Is that right? My dealer said that is what his does also. I like the X MR2 backup better.

    Thank you

    Gilberto,

My computer is very slow if I am generating a path then open another seat of Mastercam. When I turn on affinity from 0 to 4, 5, 6 and 7 on the mastercam that is generating a path the computer speeds up. I wish that I knew more about affinity and how to us it better.

    thank you

  4. Colin thank you

I have 8 processors it says because of hyperthreading. which numbers are the hyperthreading processors? and why are they not all on I think that would make every program running use all the processors avalible.

Where is the best drivers for the ATI firegl v3400 for Mastercam?

    Thanks

    Jody

  5. What is 'Set Affinity' I am now running a dell somethin with two dual processors and hyperthreading. and a an ATI firegl v3400.

Mastercam does not seem any faster than the old 3.0 single processor to me. when I run cimco HSM and turn all 8 affinity's on then the time of process is almost the same as elapsed time. If I leave the affinity on just 0 is it using all the processors?

    Thanks

  6. OIC that works just like you say it does. The only problem is that MC does not know the difference between what I want it to do and what I tell it to do. duh banghead.gif I clicked on all operation in the file that I was working on but I was cutting to different pieces of steel. bonk.gif

Thanks for the use of the crowbar to pull my head out of my butt.

  7. I Just tried the way that you said John using a stock model on a different level. but using it with WCS the stock is cut only for the top view. so if you had a cut from the side or bottom it shows it cutting from the top.

    Thnk you

  8. It can not be as easy to do as changing this

    sm09 M9 #Coolant Off

    sm08 M8 #Coolant Flood

    sm08_1 M83 #Coolant Mist

    sm08_2 M88 #Coolant Tool

    scoolant #Target for string

    to this

    code:

     # Coolant M code selection

    sm09 M9 #Coolant Off

    sm08 M8 #Coolant Flood

    sm08_1 M83e$M8 #Coolant Mist

    sm08_2 M88 #Coolant Tool

    scoolant #Target for string
