  2. Thanks Bernie,

I appreciate the help. I like the rubber duck and after you stretched it I think that It looks good for what he wants to do. How come you are moving up here? Do you have a job? We keep toying with the idea of hiring a second shift programmer/ wire operator/ moldmaker/ whatever else needs done. I don’t think that it is to mush to ask of the perfect employee to do all that and be a better programmer than me, work for a nice low rate and be very good at the job do you? Maybe that is why we have not hired anyone yet?

Nobody here seems to want to learn MC, they want to program conversationally on the hurco’s. That really annoys the owner.

Thanks Cadcam for the use of the FTP site.

  3. Does anyone have a 3D duck that you would be willing to share. A guy here at work is wanting to making his own decoys. So I thought that before I start to attempt to draw this for him I would ask here.

    thanks

  4. Thanks PDG that sounds like a good idea. While you are making it more user friendly do you think that you could go back to the V8 check boxes in (Selection Mask) window? If I want everything checked except surfaces and solids I can not just go click on surfaces and solid to uncheck them. I have to hold the ctrl button then click on them. I feel that I am being picky but that annoys me that I have to do it that way now.

    Thanks cheers.gif

  5. How do I get the curser to default in the (scale factor) window and not the (number of steps) window? Version 8 it defaulted in the (scale factor) so it is habit to be looking at the print while I am adding shrink to a part. Now in Version 9 I type in 1.016 in the (# of steps) and not the (scale factor).

    Thank you

  6. The wire guy and I went to Agie and Charmilles yesterday to find out which is the one to buy. We were at both for a good four hours and I still do not know what to tell the owner. So I turn to you all, what are good and bad of each? We have an Elox now and I have ran a Charmilles.

    Thanks

  7. I am a Webelos Leader, I was planning on cutting a face on my car. There was topic 6 months ago or so that somebody had a MC file of face, I think that I still have it on some computer. I don't like it when the parent does all the work on a pinewood derby car, in my case it is I feel that it is OK, my boy is only 11 months old. I thought that have a face milled on a car would be a good discussion piece.

  8. We just bought a 30gig HD that i will be putting into our Dell 500 with 768 MB mem. i am running win 98. i am wondering what advantage there is to partitioning it to make a swap drive out of part of it and how much? Also how do i make windows use the partitioned drive as the swap drive?

Forgot to say thanks (the boss interrupted me)

    Thanks
