This isn't exactly a Mastercam post question but I'm hoping someone can help me. We just received a new tool setter (standalone unit) that outputs tool offsets to the machine via Ethernet. Everything works great except the post doesn't output a (%) symbol at the beginning of the program so the machine doesn't input the first line of code. I'm looking for some help editing this to get an (%) symbol to output at the beginning of the program. Fanuc 3XiB controls. I have a job that I need to program a metric tap (which is unusual at our shop). I selected a metric tap (when in inches mode) and thank the lord I ran the tap a couple inches above the part on the first hole because it wouldn't have been pretty. I then read online that in order to program a metric tap in inch mode you have to use an inch tap and convert the tool geometry to metric. is this correct? or is it possible to select and use a metric tap when in inch mode?

Yes this drives me up a wall!

I've never had this issue until X9 but I get it daily now. Doesn't seem to affect anything, more so just a huge annoyance. Drives me nuts opening up proven files and seeing that.
