  5. Hello cadcam, I just downloaded some trial software(bulletproof ftp). When i attempt to get to the forum ftp site its letting me in but there are no folders being shown, just a /,is it empty,or is it something from my end?
  6. We order alot of our specials from New England Tool Co.,they have fair prices and pretty good lead times.
  7. Shelton is about a 1hr drive to tolland.I have been there(cnc software)a few times,What a beautiful place to work.It looks more like a country club, and the people are great.
  8. I'm glad youre all having a goog laugh at my expense.I guess i should slow down a little.
  9. I have to say that being in an economy where our industry is really hurting and finding jobs is getting tougher everyday,I think it says alot about the type of people that contribute thier knowledge to this forum, keep up the good work.Theres alot of people that lack self-esteem, and confidence in thier work and would never help. thanks tony
  10. I agree w/jamman,we just upgraded 2 of our machines to use ethrnet,i down load some nc files that can be 30mg,rs232 it took hrs, ethernet is minutes or even seconds with a smaller file.As for the config.,im not really sure,we use a system called extreme dnc with great results.

    NCI File

In version8,the edit nci function is done from a c-hook.Atl-c,editnci.dll.I think this is what you want to do.
  12. Good morning mastercamers, I downloaed file(25degtb.mc8)to the ftp site.If this is a bug i would like it to be confirmed, maybe its just me(wouldn't be the first).I think this is an issue that should be addressed for v9,this is a common tool type. thanks
  13. Thany you Fred, I tried setting the dia to every possible sanerio and it does not work.To me,this is a buuuuug!I was hoping the guys a cnc would have made a comment.I thought i might be doing somethin wrong, not the case.
  14. fred, thanks for the reply, But I said 1'' dia,not 1/2dia.I did look at your file and if you look close(zoom in) it is not a true full ball, there is a small flat at the tip,If you draw it as 1'' dia you will see it better.
  15. I can get it to work right w/a custom tool, but the way the tappered tool parameter page reads i shouldn't have to use a custom. It asks for a diameter, angle, then there is a box and 3 options are,1)flat2)corner radius3)full.Try using a 20 deg TB w/.500r and backplot it and see what it looks like.
  16. thankyou for the reply cadcam, But then why do they give you the tappered option in tool pm page w/the corner or full radius option. What would the full be for. There already is a ball mill option,so it would not be for that.Should this (full)not be an option.
  17. By the way,i am using v8.11 lev3 thanks tm
  18. Can anyone tell me the proper way to set up a tapered full ball em.If i go into tool pm. page -taperedm e.m., it gives you options for dia, full, corner,or flat, lets say i want a 20 deg 1" full ball(.5r),.I am always getting a flat shown instead of a true ball.Any suggestions would help
  19. I'm running NT,i do have the latest drivers and ive been using it for about a month and i love it,no problems, great shading, panning, and zooming, not sluggish at all. ------------------
  20. if you open explorer and do a file find *.txt you will be able to find the matching txt file for your post, then drop that file into the same dir. as your .pst file and you should be good to go
  21. While on the subject,i recently purchased a dell work sta. 620(933mhz,512 mb ram) and the card a choose was the fire gl2 64meg.I have heard to stay away of the diamond, does anyone have any info on this one

    nci files

The problem is not getting the nci file, but when i post it out with our new post i'm getting m00,m01 at the end of g2,g3,g1 lines. The file is also 10 meg, much to big to search through and find any other surprises.By the lack of responces i assume there is nothing to do what i'm asking. thanks tm311

That is what i mean cadcam, when i post the old v6 nci with my new machine ,that i dont have an older post for a i get no errors when posting, but alot of code that shouldn't be there inside the nc program.
  25. Can anyone tell me the best way to go about posting older nci files w/a new post,is there somekind of update to eliminate all these unwanted codes that i am getting now?
