  1. Yes I did check "Cut order" it does go around the part nice but still works down the same. "5th axis" I'm using X8 cant download the file. Thanks
  2. I would like to rough an area down to the final depth then move to the next area final depth and so on. is that possible? It works it way down by roughing everything at the step down I input. I have a large part and it moves 25.0 just to hit this small area. maybe its the wrong TP for this application? Thanks
  3. I created 2 solids that are connected. is it possible to merge the 2?
  4. I will tear it apart Thanks !!
  5. actually it wont let me extend says its a trimmed surface. would have to build a new one. Not really sure what you mean. blend surface with cutter comp? I don't see it
  6. Is it possible to extend the toolpath so that it starts (3/8 Ball) .188 off the pc without extending or building a surface?
  7. Is there a way to hide the vectors (in 3d I unchecked the 4/5 axis one in settings) when I backplot?
  8. Surface Blend seems to work the best. Waterline I cant get it to start from the outside + it picks up towards the end of the toolpath. having trouble with flowline too. it's very frustrating when the tool picks up so many times. is that a sign that I'm using the wrong toolpath for that particular application ?
  9. Not sure how to cut this part (just a finish TP). would like to collapse from outside to inside.
  10. Is there a way to put "levels" in my right click customize button?
  11. The one great thing surcam has is "cutter interect spline" i havent seen any other system that has it.
  12. How do you create the .csv file?
  13. What would you say is the most popular toolpaths 2d/3d? Is it faster/more efficient to cut the solid or maybe break it into surfs/wireframe or maybe a combination of both.
  14. They both make sense. Thanks
  15. The first thing do after importing a step file (solid) is create surfs and "all edge curves" and put them on separate layers. From there I start my program. Is that the norm?
  16. Don't like the system picking the toolpaths for me. But the drilling doesn't look bad when there's a part with lots of holes. Thanks
  17. X8 user How often is the FBM mill/drill used?
  18. my finger and mouse thanks you.
  19. Yes it does Thanks!!!!!
  20. Running different toolpaths on the same surfs. there's about 35 drive surfs and I've tried grouping them but when it asks me to pick the surfs I grab that group but it doesn't recognize it. it's a pain in the butt continually re picking them.
  21. X8, Can you save verify and flip it use it on the opposite side so at the end I can see the full finished part?
  22. Trying different roughing toolpaths for this sample. i cant get it to start outside the part. all toolpaths helical or ramp from the center (Area Clear). I've used (Finish parallel) which starts from the outside and collapses. but would like some kind of "Z level".
  23. Where do you get that info (your Pic)?
