  3. Ok, I have just started using, well started this year, mastercam. Our school has the older V8 and V8.1.1 of this. I have been in CAD class for 4 semesters now, I know how to draw in autocad decently and rhino pretty well to. Could learn a few things i magin. anyway, im having problems. here is what i have done. I drew up a part that i planned on making. I drew this in autocad2000. I then opened it up in mastercam, not as a dwg, but as some other type of file. i dont remember what kind. if this matters, i can find out. Ok, so its in MasterCam, looking good and all. I start making the toolpaths. I used contour and then chain. basicly i got all the toolpaths made, only 2 actually. I can verify it just fine, it looks good. Ok, teacher says ive done all i need. So we start to do the next step and make it on the machine. Its a EMCO PC 50 mill. we used the EMCO program that i guess came with the mill. Well we open it up and everything, load the stuff, but the "program" wont load. It says the "MC30" isnt there. I dont know where i went wrong. If you need more details, please let me know what you need to know! Or if you know how to fix this, please, please, post! thanks a ton. -Jay
