Hi Robert, We are using CM Version 7.5 and Mastercam X3, I greatly appreciate the help, and I’ll start adding the required fields. Is it better to have more even if you don't use them all, their are so many different configurations depending on the tools you use. We only have 2 Vending Machines and 1 Tooling Crib. Everything runs off the Tool Crib Software. And like you we want to start using Bar Code so the Operator doesn’t have to guess what I’m thinking about. Ted

Robert, I also have Crib Master and would like to import that info into Mastercam, my problem is my IT guy is swamped and doesn’t have time and I'm not that well versed in that end of programming. If you could get me started in the right direction I would appreciate it?

Thanks for all the help guys, I thought I was the only one with this problem. I believe its so important to get good info out to the operators. We are also trying to add Bar Codes to each tool so when they go to a Vending Machine or the Tool Room to get a tool they get the right one that I want them to use. Robert thanks we are going to give it a try.

Thanks for the help I'll try In House, has anybody worked with trying to incorporate a tool management software (Crib Master) into Mastercam to use the tool info that I have in my tool room.

Is their anyone that has a good setup sheet. I'm just looking to have the tool show up like on the GUI setting with simple info about the tool and holder info.

Hope you can help, having a problem getting a good finish with surface milling a trigger head. usually it works well but this part is a little bigger than I normally run. the problem with the finish is it looks like a checkered board and it looks that way out on the machine and in my verify. the only thing I was thinking that might control this is my graphics card. is their a way to adjust this to improve the finish?

My first time posting a question so be easy on me guy's I have Several Hitachi Seiki mills at another facility that their programmer was using an old Version of Cimlinc on a Unix Platform for programming and his Sun box went down. now I need a way to use my Mastercam for his machines but have not been successful in locating a good post for these machines. Any ideas on were I should be looking or were I should go I'm trying to keep this affordable these are not that new of machines but we are not getting rid of them anytime soon and the programmer over their is just learning Mastercam.
