  7. I have used many coolants over the years and I like the valcool. We cut many types of steel and it does pretty good in all.

  9. Hello all, I am leaving my place of employment in 2 weeks, and not sure if ill be using MC any time soon. Just wanted to say thanks to all that have helped me with issues since becoming a user. There are many talanted programmers here and ive not found any better forums for anything than this one. I wish all of you the best of luck and hope that this place is still around if i ever get another chance to use MC.

  11. I have fadals here and looking for somehting more rigid, faster, possibly a 4/5 axis rotary and better accuracy. What recommendations do you guys have for something around 150,000.

  13. Got some 304ss here that needs slots milled with 1/4 carb. endmill. Anyone have any recommended speeds/feeds.

  15. Thanks Jimmy, the tool is offset to the wrong side on the left wall but I see how your doing this and maybe i can get it from here.
  16. Looks better than what i had but it is still leaving material at the corner where is should be breaking out into the hole. That valley in the part is basically a slot running between both holes and removing all material.
  17. Ive uploaded a file in the mc9 directory called Prototype_2nd_housing_wire.mc9. Im having problems getting toolpath to the small surface on this part. Any help would be appreciated. Depth cuts need to be smaller. The cut is supposed to break out into the holes, which on one end it is not now.
  18. HMMMMM....Machinery's Handbook on cd sounds good. Thanks fellas. Robk, solidworks sounds good too but i think the MHB cd will be cheaper
  19. Lots of useful info at those sites but still havent found the chart im lookin for. Any more suggestions.
  20. Does anyone know of an online chart for getting dimensions on hex, flat, button head cap screws in metric. I have a chart here for standards but cant find one for metric.
  21. I dont know anything about your controll but have you checked to see if there is a parameter at the machine to turn the tip comp off.

  23. robk, thats easy for ya to say but im a very green newbie to mc and solids i know very little about. I just need to solid for a small valley that needs to be surfaced machined.
