EazyE,
I probably misunderstand what you need, however I was thinkin that all you need is 1 file, a parasolid w/ the engraving already done to it.
Mike, Keycreator does work right, Cadkey 21,workshop, etc. kinda su@#$d.
The Keycreator people fixed all the problems, and went way beyond. The drafting people here use Unigraphics and Solid Edge. I can correct their models much faster than they can. Its sorta like comparing McamX to whatever they sell for generating NC code. Easier and faster.

EazyE,
Your engineer can do the engraving in Keycreator and send you a parasolid.

I take exeption w/ that JP
You solidworks fellas will still be clicking the mouse in your design while I'm cutting the part.

GE3_2_MC9.vbs
in the vb_scripts folder on the ftp site., although I can't seem to get there at the moment
-
there is a vb script on the ftp site which will convert .ge3 to mc9.
I'll look it up in a moment

rpm sounds too slow
60sfm=2444rpm, 40sfm=1630rpm
.003 ipr
1st peck should be 1.5 dia of drill
then 1.0 dia for a couple of pecks
.75dia for a couple , etc
just a couple of ideas
-
custom drill cycle (macro) ??
Long hand w/ decreasing peck increments ??
drill 1/2 of it w/ one drill and finish it w/ another ??

I vote for the correct way!

methinks the parameter is 3410 (tolerance of arc radius)

+1000 John et al,
I like to set my tombstones up like a 4+ sided locating plate, w/ a common grid setup for locating pins and hold down screws. The part fixturing would then attach to the tstone faces.
After the first run of a job, (if the tstone is still centered and not out of rotation), the next run of that job is simply attaching the plates and letting it rip.

The Bostomatic SPC1 control we used to have here was an absolute I&J if you were in G90, Incremental start to center if you were in G91.
I prefer Absolute end coords w/ inc start to center cuz its easy to pick out arcs that start on a quadrant when looking at the code. Also, if somehow ( see todays previous thread on crashes ) the end coord isn't right then who knows where the control is gonna put the center of the arc.

Welcome to the forum.
What Should the code look like ??
Which post are you using ??

not having x2 at home, methinks there is a setting in the control def.

We have 6 Mycenter 3x's w/ 2 pallet changers.
On the whole, they have been pretty reliable.
The only issue I have w/ them is as they get older, the prox switch plug connectors located
under the saddle at the XY table junction seem to fail due to coolants deforming the plugs.
PITA to access and repair. We usually remove the plug and solder the connections, but we are still looking for a way to make then absolutely watertight.

Does the 'blank' successful load show any entities listed in 'screen statistics' ??
-
yeah, I was refeffing to the windows start button
have you tried saving it to, say, the desktop and then retrieving it from there ??
have you checked out Doug's theory ?
-
is the file coming up blank or plain ol not found??
Have you tried using 'Start,search'
-
if you have custom macro then you could read #599 by looking at the variable page or you can use #599 in a test statement such as : IF [#599 LE 212O] GOTO 345
or
WHILE [#599 LE 2125] DO 1
|
|
|
#599=[#599+1]
END 1
If you have a Fanuc control , check in the operators manual, programming section, for Custom Macro B and learn it from there
