  1. I tried unselecting the fillet surfaces and it worked great! Thanks Steve F
  2. I've tried changing the diameter of my cutter (smaller and bigger) but it doesn't seem to make a difference. I'm not using any check surfaces either.
  3. I am trying to use Surface, Finish, Pencil Toolpath in a pocket with vertical walls. The radius in the corner is 1/16" and I am using an 1/8" ball end mill. It doesn't seem to be working and the tool just plunges in a few areas. Does anyone have some suggestions to fix this problem. Thanks!
  4. I purchase engraving tools from a place called Harvey Tool. They work extremely well. They have a web site, www.harveytool.com
  5. Thanks, that worked!
  6. When I use Surface Rough Pocket the toolpath always wants take the first cut about .020 above the surfaces. Almost everytime this is a wasted pass because it is above my material and is cutting air. I was wondering if there is anything I can change in my parameters to eliminate this pass. I've tried a few things but nothing has worked.

Could someone explain what the FTP site is? Thanks!
  8. Thanks, changing my post worked! JCLM
  9. I do alot of holes in parts that I use contour, ramp. It works really well but the programs are really long because it's a bunch of small lines. I was wondering if there is something I can change to have it post out an arc move with a z value. I turned on linearize helixes but that just made the lines longer and the hole doesn't look very good. Maybe this is something that you even do.
  10. cmr, I tried the project blend and it is exactly what I wanted. Thanks alot! JCLM
  11. Does anyone know how I could show a picture of the part?
  12. I do alot of parts that are round and have some strange profiles. Is there any way to do a constant spiral toopath along the entire surface. I've tried to use surface, finish, radial, but I don't see any way of changing the toolpath to spiral. I have also tried surface, finish, constant scallop and it gives me some weird toopaths that jump up and down, and my machines will tend to gouge the part in these areas. Any suggestions?
  13. Ed, Try Create, line, vertical. At that point you can type in your start and end points. (0,-1 enter) (0,0 enter) Then just hit enter for the default X at 0 and you should have your line.
