  1. like was mentioned, could be overheating. ms sandra will tell you
  2. quote: Jack - What is this Sissoft Sandra of which you speak? tis a program http://download.guru3d.com/sandra/ will tell you anything and everything about your computer
  3. most of our newer machines, the canned cycle has a parameter to indicate x or y shift/how much shift and one to orient the spindle correctly for the shift.
  4. could be the power supply. you added any hardware recently?
  5. if you wanted to do it the hard way draw half of a circle in one plane, rotate it from the edge in the perpendicular plane by the angle that your pitch works out to, create a plane from the arc, draw the other half of the circle and rotate it like the first one. should have one complete helix and can translate it for whatever length you need.
  6. which drivers did you reinstall p.s. like they said, dont go to windows update for drivers...hehe, learn the hardway
  7. schweeeeeeet, i figured it out. thanks fellas edit> wow, my grammar's sucked in this thread [ 11-20-2004, 09:43 AM: Message edited by: mikeb ]
  8. quote: In job setup set Tool offset Register.Set to add. Eg:Have a zero for length and 20 for diameter. This will give you for Eg: Tool #2 length 2 diameter 22. not exactly what i need. i want the length offset to be the value listen on the define tool page
  9. quote: If you want your length/Diameter offsets the same as your Define Tool page, go to the Job Setup page, in the Tool Offsets Registers area click the "From Tool" choice.already been there
  10. Ok, maybe I am just missing something here. I searched and didn't really notice anything, pardon me if its been mentioned before. I want the length offset number listed in the define tool page to show up as a D(could be anything, I just need D)code. A separate value from the tool number. I know the nci file has the correct value, but it posts the same as the tool number. What am I missing here? I have this in the post: fmt D 4 tlngno #Length Offset No and then under the ptlchg_com block: pcan1, pbld, n, *sgcode, pfxout, pfyout, pfcout, *spindle, *tlngno, next_tool, pgear, strcantext, pwcs, e Somewhere, tlngno is getting set to tool number? But I can't find where. Do I need to make a parameter table for it? I'm probably making this more complicated than it needs to be. Any help?
  11. worked like a charm roger thank you
  12. quote: what video card r u running for dual monitors? I had some issues with my settings when we first got setup for dual monitors, took me a day of playin' with them to figure it out. When you click on your levels manager button on the side do you notice if it opens a prompt at the bottom of the screen? not running dual monitors at the moment. and as far as i know, all the settings go back to single when one of the monitors are unplugged. at least, they have every other time i unplug one of them. i even double checked that today to make sure since it acted like the box opened on the other monitor. its a quadro fx-1100 btw. and if there was a prompt at the bottom, that would mean i have "Enter Level In Prompt Area" checked.
