Hello, I tried to set the speed and feed calculation in the job set up to use the material. I would only get 0. so I looked at the material library and picked some materials, none of which are set up with a base SFPM or percent of chip load. Has anyone else run into this problem? Rory

Hello, Is there anyone out there running Daewoo Lathes with Fanuc series 15-T control. I am in need of a post for MC V8. I know that I could work with the Mplfan.pst, but it would need to be changed somewhat. So I thought I would ask around first. Thanks!

I posted a file on the FTP site. web page 3-22-4374_RUFFBORE AND TAP.MC8 The second operation labeled mill splits, does not verify for me. All the rest of the ops do. I cant seem to figure it out. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks Rory

Hello again, I am creating a drawing with section views, I add hatch marks for aluminum and save the file. When I reopen the file later to continue working, the hatch marks do not come back in and I get an error message "Corrupt entities were not brought in". I first created this drawing with Mastercam Draft V8. on a different computer. I am now working with Mill level 2, because it is on a different computer that is hooked up to the plotter. Any ideas? There is a guy I work with that would like me to create a drawing and nc code to create the Chevy Bow tie. He wants to use it for his trailer hitch cover. Has anyone played with this? Thanks, Rory

The graphical set-up sheet, and the HTML set-up sheet, both output the information from the "Define Tool" page. As in Overall length, & Manufactures Tool code. Is there a way to output this type of information in the Setup sheet, set file? Thanks, Rory

Hello, I am trying to use "NC utils/Setup sheet". It works the first time, but when I exit it and go back in, MC shuts down with an error message of "This program has performed an illegal operation". Any ideas on what to do to correct this? Thanks, Rory

John, Mpmaster works on the Haas right out of the gate. I did make some changes, most of which were a matter of preference. I can e-mail it to you if you like. Just e-mail me and i will send it. Rory

I started to use the mpmaster post instead of our mphaas post because we needed a toollist at the begining of the nc file. We do 4th axis rotary positioning. The Mphaas post would output the "A" axis up to 360 degrees and then start over with zero. The Mpmaster post goes well beyond 360. This causes the machine to unwind. does anyone know to fix this? Yesterday When I started on this project I couldnt get the Surface rough pocket to work. Error message said I needed level 3. Now today I am able to use "rough pocket". What is going on? Rory

Ok, here is where I am at. I can't do Pocket - Constant Overlap Spiral, because we only have level 2. So I am trying to use Surface, Rough, Parallel. The part is closed on the ends. How do I get the tool to ramp into the cut and still stay inside of the Geo. There is no lead in/lead out option. Rory

I have a part in which I need to rough a concave radius. The radius measures 2.750" and the length is 7". I have never gotten to doing this kind of work before. What is the best method using Mastercam? Rory
