Hi,
is it possible when verifying a rotary toolpath in x9 to have a model of a 3 jaw chuck rotating with the part?
If so where would i get a model and a vice model as well?
Thanks

Hi All,
In relation to X9 can someone please explain the difference between the stock setup found in the toolpath list and toolpaths>stock model found in the toolpaths menu?
Which is best for verification?
Thanks

Correct,
I actually do want to do this outside of mastercam..
Im not confident in writing these sort of programs but if anone has an example to share it would be a great starting point..
Thanks

Hi All,
Not sure if this is possible but i do alot of drilling and tapping on a 4th axis..
Instead of typing in my A values(rotation ) manually is there a way to just tell program to repeat drill at a certain A value and number of holes?
Kinda like a canned cycle but for rotation..
Thanks

Hi All,
Not sure if this is the right place to post but can anyone point me in the direction of some macro based programs for things like pocketing, facing, drilling pcd ect..
Even something that could come in handy that relates to a 4th axis indexing a sub program..
I know there are ways to do this without macro but im just curious about it..
Thanks

im running X9 and im trying to add a peck field (not peck field like circled above)to either the rigiid tapping or normal tapping page withing mastercam..
Ive can get into cthe control def file and see the area i need to change..
But it doesnt seem to take effect once i change it..
Im no expert but im thinking there is alot more to it than just adding some txt..
Would my mastercam dealer be the right person for this?
Thanks jas..

Hi all,
just wondering when programming several different faces on and horizontal mill really is it better to use absolute in your linking parameters and then use incremental to get all all your depths of faces to be machined or drilled hole depths or is it more common to use absolute for everything?
For our situation say the 3 faces we are machining and drilling will have different g54,g5,g56 as well
Thanks!

Hi Guys,
When machining the same part in say multiple vices is it possible in x9 to have your first co ordinate call of g54 ,then g55 then g56 and then when it toolchanges start at your last co ordinate of g56, then back to g55, then g54 and next toolchange start from g54 , then g55 and up again?ect?
Thanks

X9 FILE ASSOCIATIONS
in Industrial Forum
Posted
Hi All.
The other day i decided to run cc cleaner..
Having has issues with file associations not being able to be made in x9 i thought it would help..
Now i do have x4 installed along side of X9 butd it seems to default to x4 in regards to step or dxf and dwg files..
Now after running cc cleaner when i open a step or dxf outside of x9 it defaults to the attached capture jpg
If i open from within x9 it seems fine but i have seen this meggage as shown in capture1 .jpg
Ive tryed to right click on file then open with and change to mastercam.exe in the x9 folder but it just hangs..
Any help would be appreciated..
Thanks
