Hi All, We have a mold that we are machining which consists of 16 cores that stand proud.. While roughing the operator used a 6 dia endmill instead of the programmed 6 dia ballnose.. As a result its cut undersize especially on the shallower parts of the mold.. I've a stock model in my operations manager to reflect the correct 6 dia ballnose but is it possible to create another stock model to reflect the fact that the wrong tool was put in the spindle at the machine and not within mastercam, and then be able to compare the 2 models so that we have an idea of how much welding is needed? Hi all, what do most of you use in regards to toolpath verification? do you typically use the verify selected operations in operations manager and then compare to your original model ? Or are people using machine simulation to check with either backplot or verify? Im not finding much information on the latter but would like to learn more about it.. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks for the reply.. Turns out it was the rotary feed option in the control def.. I had it set to degrees/minute.. should be Unit/minute..

Hi All, Is there a way to stop the output of z0. feedrate eventhough my parameters say otherwise? Im only getting a few of these zero feedrated every now and again and im also getting some very slow feedrates sat 1.0 mm per min then it speeds up again.. Can i override the feedrate to a minimum? Using 2021 here.. Thanks

Has anyone has this issue? I think there was a windows update issue associated with this.. Anyway tried uninstalling and reinstalling but it just wont get past the spash screen before crashing every time..

Anyone else see this error in 2021? Cant remember exacly the message but something to the effect this process not available.. If i reset mastercam it seems to go away.. Only happened once so far..

Ken I agree with your comments..clearly as far as I am finding with the fillet issue there was a problem with the initial release.. I'm not asking for extra features ect with an update just to fix a basic issue which is used dozens of times a day.. Life without this fix to me renders the software useless.. Especially sucks if you don't backup your files when it does crash.. How do I make a case for software fix for this given my maintenance has just expired?

2021 is garbage.. Don't even bother with it.. Had one problem after another and now my maintenance is over which by the way is overpriced for the privilege of mastercam releasing fixes for things that should be working in the first place I'm now stuck with it.. Back to x9 for me...

I totally disagree.. I shouldn't have to put up with these issues.. If I buy a car and the management system is at fault I get it fixed under warranty no question.. Clearly I will never deal with mastercam again nor would I ever recommend it to anyone.. Clearly the people who write the software can't even get a simple thing like trim fillet sorted.. This is not over believe me and I resent anyone who tells me tough luck..

I'm worried I will be stuck with this issue for ever more now that my maintenance has expired.. Not happy though..

Hi All, This is becoming a real problem for me as its happened at different times on different days.. Why would 2021 crash with the creation of a fillet between 2 lines? I cant seem to recreate this specifically as usually its fine although picking the first line is real clunky ..i have to pick first line but it doesnt take then i pick again and bam it crashes? wtf? I should also mention that im up to date with the latest windows and graphics drivers..

Same here.. Im just doing a trimmed fillet between 2 lines and apart from me having to select the 2 lines several times over every now and then it actually hangs and crashes 2021.. Also other issues with simple optirough and pocket toolpaths which make 2021 hang in an endless loop so you have no choice but to reset.. Worst part is my maintenance ran out the other day after update 1 so now i guess im stuck with these issues which really isnt fair as clearly there is an issue .. Wish i had have know this before as i would have stayed with x9..

Hi, What sort of tolerances do you guys set for you model compare and verification? Im not thinking the standard out of the box tolerances are tight enough for the more critical things.. Where else could i apply a tighter tolerance to compare my solid part to the verified one? Regards
