  1. Yeah. The guys on the floor here like the canned cycles. A lot of things I would do differently as well. I think people do not see that there is a big difference between programming in CAM and programming at the machine.
  2. Trying to extend the facing beyond the stock does not seem to work like it does on the OD/ID canned roughing. The tool stops at the end of the stock, but does not clear the nose radius of the tool. Using "lead out" and add line does nothing to help like it does on the od/id canned cycles.
  3. It seems to be rather generic. I would prefer to fix it myself. My experience with the MC vendors is that they have little interest in spending the time to fix posts correctly. We usually have to go around and around and around to get it done.
  4. We have a new post for programming Okuma lathes. A problem I am having is for finish cuts it applies cutter comp during a G00 move. That causes the machine to alarm out. I must then edit the NC file to apply the cutter comp at the first G01 move. Is there a way to get the post to do this? I see in canned cycles you have a bit of cutter comp control, but not so much in contour ops.
  5. I tried uninstalling Camworks. It makes no difference on Solidworks crashing on exit with MC4SW turned on.
  6. I am seeing the same issue with the 3Dconnexion. It works in everything except verify. In order to have any rotation with my mouse, I must turn off the 3connexion addin before opening SW. We have 3 computers running MC4SW. One thing they all have in common is they also have Camworks installed. You may be onto something there. This gives me a direction to head for troubleshooting. Thanks for the reply.
  7. Every time I close solidworks 2018 with MC4SW(2018 or 2019) enabled it pops up a crash report. Does anyone else have this? It ONLY happens when running MC4SW. Another thing. I cannot get my 3Dconnexion device to operate in Mastecam Simulation. Which means, I cannot even have it loaded when running Mastercam or solid works because I cannot even use my mouse for rotation as long as the 3D device was enabled. Anyone else see this? I am experiencing a lot of bugs with MC4SW.
  8. Is there a reason why the Verify in MC2018 shows extra stock remaining when selecting "CONTROL" for cutter comp type? Selecting "Computer" does not have this problem.
  9. Thanks for the replies guys. I am using MC4SW 2018 update 3. Do you know if this has been corrected on 2019?
  10. I am having an issue (one of many) with MC4SW Lathe. The Stock Flip operation will not regenerate. After creating the op I get the message "At least 1 operations was marked dirty". When I try to regen, I get the same issue. Has anyone else seen this?
