  1. Bet the problem is in the .psb file where I can't get to it!
  2. Thanks for the quick response. I searhed the post and did not find z9999 and mi7 is not being used. I sent it off to our reseller to check out. Thanks again!
  3. Just started using X7 with our Cimco 5 Axis post for our DMU 50 & 70's and have never seen this before. Any one? 4. Hello and long time no see! I just started using X7 and am now faced with using a new setup sheet since our HTML sheet is no longer supported. My question is what's the best way to go? I want a detailed tool list and I want it to report min and max travels too. I like to add my own screen captures as well.
  5. Happy Fathers Day!

  6. What is Pro Drill? We are still using X5.
  7. What a weekend. A day of rest is what I have planned.

  8. What a weekend. A day of rest is what I have planned.

  9. Made sure I downloaded the X5 version John. Thanks.
  10. Well I took another stab at downloading and installing verisurf tools and it still doesn't work. I'm sure it's something simple but not simple enough. Here is a screen shot of the error I'm getting.
  11. John, Very well said. I thought I was going crazy or doing something wrong.
  12. Yes Thad, I installed it as directed and who knows where it went. I'll give it another try. Thanks guys.
  13. Got it. The path in the control def needed to be reset. Why? Who the hell knows I'm just gonna roll with it.
  14. Was working but just got upgraded to Windows 7 and reinstalled verisurf but it doesn't show up in the pull down menus in X5 like it did before.
  15. Worked last week. Checked all data paths and nothing has changed. Now I just get the generic text version of the setup sheet. Any ideas?
  16. Any one know where to pick tool holders in surface tool paths? I have been using the Mastercam interface with Vericut to setup the HSK Tool Holders for me so I don't have to define them in Vericut. Works fine for all other toolpath types except Surfacing.
  17. Just got a quote for the Trak. Looks like a pretty decent machine for the price. Thanks for the tip!
  18. Can you dynamically adjust lead compensation and static offsets in the machine? I programmed some 80's era Sundstrand Omni Mills back in the early 2000's. We had no AC and the temperature and humidity would change drastically throughout the day. I would have to monitor following error and adjust the machine several times a day just to keep the machine from trapping out. Have you called the machine tool builder? There are tons of shops out there without AC that manage to make good parts. Might be worth a try. Good Luck.
  19. Hey Hardmill! Thanks for your input. Doing good here. Family is good as well. Having fun at work too. Trying to better equip our Composite Development Cell. We have a ton of new parts coming through this fiscal year. By the way we are in need of a few good Mold designers if you know any one interested. We will relocate and all that good stuff. Nice to hear from you. I'll be coming around more often. Missed this place.
  20. Yep. I've made up mine. It's our other programmer that doesn't like the four letter word. Thanks for the responses!
  21. Hello! I am a Senior CNC Programmer at Greene Tweed & Co. corporate headquarters in Kulpsville, Pennsylvania.

  22. Hi Forum members, Long time since I posted here. I'm interested in opinions on this subject. we are looking to purchase a lathe for our composite development cell. We have looked at several machines but are having a difficult time deciding. Our budget is only 75K. I know, not enough for the Cadillac's but we won't need heavy duty since most of the work will be CFRP. I hate to use the four letter word but it looks like the Haas TL-3 is perfect for our needs with regard to capacity and ease of use. Our 40 plus year experienced Swiss Tool Maker speaks highly of this lathe and I trust his judgement. He used one almost daily for a year before joining our company last August. Haas offers a 3 1/2 spindle bore, 60" between centers and a very nice conversational control for half the price of the the leading machine tool makers and they don't offer the 3 1/2" spindle bore which is essential for our application. Any comments or machine suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!
  23. Hello all, Can someone tell me how to search ahead in a program and start from anywhere but the beginning? I personally have never setup and run one of these machines with this controller. The guy running the machine says it can't be done. Thanks in advance.
