  1. Oh and I have one tool defined and that is a 3/116 e.m.
  2. Here is the error I get and a snap shot of the parameters being used.
  3. Must be bugs. I tried that. I even created a library with one tool in it and pointed the software to that library and it still creates a Ø.125 e.m.
  4. Also, I would like to force it to use a tool of a certain diameter and no matter how I configure the chack boxes it still has a mind of it's own and selects a tool much smaller than what I would use. The hole is Ø.266 and I use a Ø.1875 e.m. FBM wants to use a Ø.125 e.m.
  5. I meant to attach these files to the last post.
  6. I may have spoke too soon. I'm not getting any arc in or arc out in back plot. Not sure I trust that the machine is going to apply CDC or if it's going to alarm out.
  7. Wow! It worked like a charm! I got g2 and g3 plus cutter comp to boot! Thanks Tim! I did struggle at first because I tried FBM Mill. Have to use FBM Drill and disable any pre drilling of the hole if you don't want it. Thanks again!
  8. Please let me know what you find out. Thanks!
  9. I want to try this FBM. Can you set it to ignore all features but holes a certain size?
  10. I hear you. I really want it to work. Saves time. Don't have to create a work plane and a operation for every stinking hole, Maybe this has been addressed in X8 and we can live happily ever after?
  11. So I'm curious, Has anyone been sucsessful at using Circle 5 Axis and if so what does your g code look like?
  12. I have cimco working on this for our DMU 50 post. I don't want I, J, K but just cutter comp g41 and g42. I was told the same thing about planes. We are close to having this working the way I want it. One would think this is possible since Mastercam gives us the option in Multi Axis Toolpaths.
  13. Hello all! Our Supply Chain people are still looking for a supplier to help us ramp up to full production and also be a backup supplier. We have two big engine programs that are going to be running in parallel and will not have the machining capacity to support these programs until August of this year. We are looking to partner up and develop a long term relationship with a qualified aerospace composites machining supplier. Please feel free to ask questions. I will answer as best as I can without an NDA in place. For serious inquiries we can expedite the NDA process so that you may learn more specifically about part geometries and configurations. Thank you!
  14. Anyone know what this bolt looks like? I'm looking to buy a few to make a gage out of. GE is reluctant to send me one. Thanks!
  15. Thanks for the quick reply. Our supply chain person is on it. Thanks again!
  16. We are looking to partner with an aerospace machining vendor. We are manufacturing commercial jet engine fairings and extension panels and do not have the capacity at this time to keep up with the demand. We will share fixtures and programs and any other information to make you succesful provided that an NDA is in place and you are a qualifying shop. Please email me with serious inquiries only. Thank you! [email protected] www.gtweed.com
  17. Thanks Jim! I'll ask our operators tomorrow if they are familiar with that. Thanks again!
  18. Found it! Vector depth. It was right in front of me! Doh!
  19. Good morning Forum. I would like to tell my tool to poke through the part past the edge just a little but I don't see a feild for that. Moving the drive geometry is not an option because it's 3d. Swarf is not an option either because it sends my Maho 50 into a B- which is physically impossible on the model of the DMU 50. See pic attached. Yellow is the curv I'm driving and red is the tool axis control lines I created. Thanks in advance!
  20. Good stuff! Now if vericut could just follow those rules I'd be in good shape! They are working on it.
