  2. morning all. i am getting an error when trying to pull in a solid works file. "cannot find parasolid data in solidworks file". I have compared all settings between my two workstations and see no variations. only one station is giving me this issue. any help would be greatly appreciated.
  3. what are your check surfaces set at? some times if I choose to leave even .001 on check surfaces it will not cut the undercut until I set it to zero.
  4. I use surface finish contour with the majority of my undercuts
  5. Harvey tool is what we use, great for undercuts
  6. I will have to look into that, our Onsrud dealer modified the post for us, I'd like to say it is a mastercam setting but am not sure.
  7. there is no reason to use the length and diameter offset settings for an onsrud router. Our post shuts off the option
  8. thanks guys I got it. Little brain burp, it was there I just didn't look far enough for it.
  9. I started using X+ about a month ago and love it. Works great in X2MR2 mill level 3. Problem is, when I was on vacation we recieved the X3 update and it was loaded on my system, I have tried to down load X+ for X3 but can not get it to work, all I get is an empty window, no icons. All i can think is that there is a file in the wrong place but do not know which one or where to put it. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I've tried a search but found nothing that helps. THANKS
  10. I am doing a file right now that is over 1.5GB. We've done larger but tend to break them up into smaller programs.

  12. My coworker and I are trying to figure out how to machine a 1" deep by 4" wide -8 degree taper inside of a cavity using a 3 axis HAAS machine. We are using X2 mill level 3. When we use finish flowline, it backplots properly but does not verify properly. we have not tried to actually cut any stock yet. Does anyone have any suggestions?
  13. hi all. The company I work for currently utilizes MC9.1 w/out the solids option. Our design department uses solid works '05 and we, in the tooling department import and convert the files. When MC10 comes-out, would there be any advantages to getting the solids option? Being fairly new to mastercam I cannot answer this question adequately enough for my superiors.
