My coworkers and I are relatively new to Mastercam, so forgive me if this is a simple fix, but every time one of my coworkers goes to add a chain or change the parameters all the entities on his screen disappear, and the only way we have found to make them reappear is to go to the level manager and click the hide all button twice to make everything reappear. I am not sure if it is a setting, but we have tried replacing his configuration and workspace files to no avail the problem still persists. I would rather not have to reinstall Mastercam to fix the issue, so do any of you have any suggestions? I am stumped... Thanks,

Time and time again I find myself getting sandbagged by the chaining direction while creating tool paths. Is there any sort of hot key for reversing the chain direction without having to physically click the double sided arrow in the dialogue box ( I know, how terribly lazy of me) .

Hey every, So, I upgraded to 2018 today, and after a bit of a rocky start I've come across a problem. The problem I'm having is with chaining Wireframe, I've used mastercam for over 10 years and know exactly how chaining wireframe behaves. In 2018 it is not behaving the same. I click on my line at where I want it to start and which direction, and it puts the start point 2 entity's away chaining in the wrong direction. So I think "Oh my chain must have a gap". So I trimmed everything and it's fine. Yet it still won't chain correctly. I can correct it after I chain, but If i have to correct it EVERY chain that doubles my programming time. I played around with the options under the chaining tab and nothing changed, I played with the chaining tolerance under Chain Manager and nothing. Any Ideas? I imported the geometry to 2017 and it works as it should there.

Hi, I have imported a solid model from inventor, I want to machine a contour around two circles (Cylindrical Boss) I need to change the "start point" to prevent the lead-in and lead-out crashing. The start point option is not available (greyed out) in the chaining dialog box. I have also tried un-checking the "mid-point option in the lead in/out dialog box.. I can reverse the chain which flips the lead in/out 180 degrees but changes the milling direction to "conventional". Any help much appreciated!! Stevo!!
