Hi everyone, I am curious how you pros describe your tooling. In particular what kind of acronyms or wording do you use for extended tools. For instance how would you describe a tool that needs a specific extension (ie DA300) with a certain amount of tool projection. It starts to get very verbose and confusing when you have to describe Length of Cut, "Stick Out" and specific holders and extensions. I'm sure LOC is pretty standard, I personally use EFH to stand for Extend(ed) from Holder. But again the problem arises when it's a specific holder with an extension that has to stick out a certain amount with a tool that sticks out of the extension and so on.

Hello Friends, I am editing my tool list template using ActiveReports Designer and I am running into a problem. I want to have my MCX file name in the report so that operators can see the part number and the revision level (which we put in our file name). I made a text box and input "MCXFILE-SHORT" in the DataField, but it just gives me a blank box when i create the report. I'm not sure what the problem is. Can you not put the MCX filename in a Tool List report? One thing I have noticed is that under "fields" my "bound" field says "bound error: could not find a part of the path "C:\Windows\SST\Samples\Mill\SSM.xml". Woudl this be causeing my error? If so, how do I fix it? Many thanks in advance tool list sample.pdf

We use Mastercam x7 now but the tool list for our machinists with Mastercam 9 was much better to read for them. On one page they could see the tools and the graphics which was good. Does anyone know if it is possible to have the same tool list layout in Mastercam x7? We do not need the several pages one where one tool is one page (I found that option but it is not what I am looking for). I attached a file here: the first page is the Mastercam x7 simple tool list without graphics and the second page is the Mastercam 9 tool list layout what I am looking for in Mastercam x7. Please help! MCX7.PDF

Me and my fellow co-worker have downloaded X+ in order to get better set-up sheets. We would like to use the excel option as the out-put but are clueless at how to modify it. Any help would be appreciated.

Hello all. I've been working on a post for the shop on their haas vf6 with Trunnion 5 axis. Everything seems to be posting fine but I would like a tool list to appear in the same manner as the Generic Haas 4x Mill post. I tried to take some of the lines that refer to ptooltable to the new 5x post but so far I only get the very first tool and only the first tool to post in the list. here's an example: % O1002 ( OP2-24127-19 REV M ) ( 30-10-12 | 14:00 ) ( ==TOOL List== ) ( T1 1/4 CTR DRILL | D: .25 ) <= Should populate rest of the tools but stops at the 1st one N1 G20 N2 G0 G17 G40 G49 G80 G90 N3 G0 G28 G91 Z0. N4 ( T1 | 1/4 CTR DRILL ) <= Tool comment link to post dl: https://www.dropbox.com/s/yxurnmgvxpkq2o9/Generic%20Haas%20VF-TR_Series%205X%20Mill.pst thanks in advance!
