You are correct, but only for the "Default" Post Dialog settings.

As GF8er pointed out > Each Control Definition File contains the these same options, for each 'Linked Post'.

There is a 'pinned thread' at the top of the Industrial Forum, which talks about Control Definition Default Settings, and this happens to be one of those settings that is linked to the active Control Definition File.

This means  you can load multiple 'Machine Groups' into the Mastercam Toolpaths Manager, and each Machine is linked to a Control Definition, and each Control Definition can have different settings for the Post Processing Dialog Box.

Smit,

Make sure you change the 'Post Processing Dialog' Settings, not only in your "Current Control Definition/Post Linkage", but also in the "Default Settings" for your Control Type.

If you don't set the "Default Values" for your Control Definition, then this setting will not "stick", the next time you update to a newer version of Mastercam!

Remember, a "valid Control Definition", is simply a 'group of parameters and values', which are statically linked to a Post Processor Script File (.PST or .mcpost). This means that those settings are only "good", for that exact filename, in that specific file location. So, if your Post "moves", or you "update your MD/CD/PST to the next release of Mastercam", that your Control Definition will simply pull the values from the "Control Definition Defaults". By copying your current "CD Parameter Settings" into the "Control Type Defaults", you can eliminate the problem of Mastercam "changing CD settings" on you.
