Swept surface needing to create geometry from it

In some applications, one needs to build surfaces first... in order to get the needed geometry created from the surfaces. Mastercam, Rhino, VariCAD [don't ask wink.gif ] makes no difference - surfs first, then your geo that you may not be able to create any other way. An example:

In order to create a closed 3D wireframe that is tangental, coincedental, and has curvature continuity and as importantly the 'shape that you want' do this...Create geo [flat outline] on top plane with the desired shape you want. Create a swept surface [vertical line on top plane, path geo on front plane]. Make sure the surf fully encompasses your outline geo when observed from the top gview. Trim that surf with the outline geo. You now have a 3D surf without curves. Create the curves. Delete surf [surf made for the 3d curves, no longer need]. Now we have that nice looking 3D wireframe from which we can create side profile geo and build the final design. The curves created from the trimmed swept surf form the parting line of the part if one plans to build a mold off of the design.
