2022 LEVELS

Why is it in 2022 when you bring in a part with multiple items like in the picture all on different levels, a plate with four blocks on it if you move it all to the same level do the other levels still show something is on them yet if you turn one on and all others off it is empty. Is this something that can be fixed with a setting or is it yet something else that does not work properly in 2022.

maybe something is there.

Not really sure what blanked surfaces are or how to look for them never heard of them. All I know is after 11 years I've never had issues like we've found in 2022.

You likely brought in a file or geometry that has a blanked entity.

Blanked entities are entities that exist on a level but are "blanked", or hidden, unless you deliberately go and unblank them. There are a number of ways, both automatically and manually, that a blanked entity can be created- such as when you trim a surface, it can save off an original version of that surface as a "blanked" entity so that it's hidden from view but still available if the user needs to get at it. 

If you are simply window selecting solids/surfaces on the screen and then changing their level, you're not going to be able to fully "empty" a level of all its entities. 

You can see blanked entities, and unblank them, by using the blank/unblank commands on the Home tab:

Be careful to when you unblank them and then try to delete them. They may be tied to one the items that was shown that you may have moved. Mastercam will prompt you if you want to delete both items but they may be associative.

it is sad that the program is going that way, but it has been for many years consecutively.

20 years ago there were so many innovative aspects to everything you did. like input fields preloading with known values. not any more. !
