Can anyone tell me if you can change the control between english and metric? If so, what parameter is it? Fusion 640MT control. Thanks in advance.

I believe the standard is G20 and G21.

I see now that it is parameter P19. But it says you have to change other stuff also. Anyone ever done this? Please give me a heads up.

Rekd’s solution is valid for EIA/ISO programming methods, feeds with also be metric.

If you wish to change parameters for Mazatrol programming then there are about twelve different ones – consult your parameter manual for these.

And that's the story I'm sticking too. A local guy here did it on a 200SY and he was very sorry he did.

 

If you must, get Mazak to show you every parameter that needs to be changed. It's more than a few. If I remember correctly, you need to redo the entire Tool Data Page, offsets and tool libraries...

To change a Mazak from English(imperial) to metric, it is advisable to use the metric parameter list. Loaded via your Floppy drive. I beleive this is the only safe way of acheiving this. Sorry to bring you the bad news. If it is only the EIA/ISO you want to change then G20 G21.
