Aborting shading

Thanks d0gFartz,

Wailing on the esc key does stop the shading, but I sure get some strange results.

I end up with partially shaded parts and when reshading, one or more surfaces disappear into the background color.

I'll keep trying and see what happens.

Sorry CadCamGuru that does not work.

if you set up in the "config" to autoshade next time you get it it will shade it.

so what you need to to do is turn of autoshade.

before getting the file.

And this is only good for file get.

so if you strat to to shade a file by useing "ALT S" and it starts you need to hit the "Esc" key and it will stop shading the file.

This will now show partial shade and the rest not.

Cadcam,

now try to shade and unshade several times, what I find is that now at least one surface 'disappears' and the only way I can get it back is to 'get' the file again!
