DRILL POINT SORTING

Best option for sorting drill points that have no fixed pattern (I have to drill and tap 50-250 M3 holes in all off our components). The drill point sort option never seems to take the shortest route.

Does anyone know how the points are sorted?

Some other software that I have used seemed a lot more tidy and efficient.

Right after you select the points to drill hit done and then OPTIONS (Just above the second Done) and you will get a window with all the choices you can imagine.

Good luck

Have you tried all the options? I personally can't think of a sort method that is not covered if the hols are in a grid type pattern.

Im doing all that

The holes are in no fixed or regular pattern and in the most part are approximately 5mm appart. The closest point sort option (bottom box in point sort ) doesn"t take the next closest point or shortest route.

How do you insert an image into these posts to make subject more clear and show path.

Its starting to bug me

Cheers
